Definitely recommend trying out the trial period to see if you enjoy this type of workout. It's great for folks who are interested in increasing their general physical activity but can be frustrating for individuals who have more experience in a gym setting, as there is no real rhyme or reason to the programming (workouts are randomized - sometimes you'll be on a run outside and told to "hop up the stairs on one foot"; you may do heavy leg workouts two or three days in a row and not touch upper body in any real way for a week; and so on - think of a random exercise generator that is something like do ten rounds of 50 each (ab / shoulder / chest / hamstring / quad / shoulder / shoulder/ ab / ab exercises). There is also very little feedback on form, and the coach-to-student ratio can be upwards of 1:20 (making it impractical for the coach to assess form anyway), so be careful and ask questions about form if you're new to working out, especially for more complex movements like hang cleans. The other attendees are generally very kind and welcoming, and the environment is overwhelmingly positive! But beware: even though the contract you sign specifies that you can potentially pause or cancel your membership if you are dealing with health issues, that is not actually the case. Be prepared to spend $49+/week indefinitely (or until your contract runs out) regardless of communicating your doctor's advice to pause while you await bloodwork and make a plan with your physician. Good luck in your fitness journey! Everyone deserves to be happy and healthy <3

Strength training with the team is amazing!! Each member helps you reach your goal and they live up to their name X-Team because when we do our outdoor workout no one is left behind. I'm almost 70 & they helped me achieve my goal of getting back to my strength training again.

I joined xteam about 3 months ago and have overly happy ever since. Being no stranger to a group fitness routine at previous locations, I know how to find the pros and cons. Xteam has been all pro. Everything from personalized accountability to variable indoor/outdoor daily workouts, and to safely and bio- mechanical instruction provided by knowledgeable staff at xteam. You truly feel like a community!!!

I am 69 y/o and never liked going to the gym until I tried this place. They really live up to their name X-Team because everyone is so helpful in making sure you are doing all the moves right. I'm proud to say I'm getting stronger & always looking forward to doing my exercises at this place. I like also that some of the workouts are done outside.

Absolutely love X-Team! I recently completed my 6 week orientation with great results. I immediately signed up for the year. The workouts are challenging but manageable and tailored to your level. The variety and the ability to do both indoor and outdoor workouts mean you never get bored and can work around your schedule. And the members are AMAZING and supportive. 100% recommend!

I've been taking fitness classes at this gym, and I have to say, they're some of the best workouts I've ever had. The instructors are enthusiastic and supportive, and the variety of classes keeps things interesting. I always leave feeling accomplished. The workouts are challenging, and the X-Team website makes it easy to track my progress. Plus, the community feature is great for staying motivated and connected with others. The trainers are knowledgeable and motivating, and the facilities are top-notch. I've seen a significant improvement in my strength and endurance since starting here.Highly recommend! You won't get this type of fitness anywhere else.~Chandu

I joined Xteam about a year or so before my wedding to get into shape and it was amazing! I met some amazing people and loved getting to see different parts of Richmond while also getting a workout. I am really competitive and Xteam always motivated me. It was such an inclusive gym where people of all weights, speeds, and strength felt welcome! I quit only because I got pregnant and moved 30 minutes away.

Richmond is lucky to have a program like X-team here's why:- It's a great fit for people of all levels of fitness.- You will get into shape fast and remain that way for life. The well-rounded programing helps break up the monotony that often comes with working out.- You will make a great new group of friends that holds each other accountable.- You will explore the city and enjoy our amazing park system on a regular basis.- You will see your results with technology that tracks real results including body fat percentage and muscle mass, not just weight on a scale.

X-Team fitness has successfully changed my idea on working out. I joined during 2020 right after the lockdown for the pandemic… I went from going to the gym maybe 4 times a month to working out 5-6 days a week. I love the group fitness exercises and the mix between weightlifting at the indoor workouts and running at the outdoor workouts. I also never used to be a long distance runner and ran my first half marathon in 2021! I’ve met so many friends through the gym that I couldn’t see myself going through life without now. It’s definitely a good decision to join X team! It’ll definitely improve your life and help you develop a love for fitness!!!!

X-Team isn't your average gym. It's more like a fitness community. I've inconsistently gone to gyms in the past (basically I was paying their rent). This is the only place where I've been held accountable, been engaged and have actually gotten excited about working out.The staff and instructors are all knowledgeable and happy to help! There's nutrition lessons, assessments to track your progress and varied workouts (weightlifting, cardio, functional fitness, runs, yoga - they've got it all!)I went from being a true workout newbie to someone who goes to the gym 4-6 times a week, consistently! And as an added bonus, I've met so many amazing people (and reconnected with old friends) through X-Team. If you're looking for a life-changing program with amazing support, you've come to the right place!

Fantastic, challenging group fitness! I tried X-Team Fitness during a six week challenge. My experience was amazing! The trainers created a different workout everyday so I never got bored. The sessions challenged me to run more and lift heavier. X-Team attracts a wide range of people all at different ages and fitness levels. Everyone is super encouraging and you leave exhausted but with a sense of accomplishment. I learned more about my body, exercise, and nutrition here than anywhere else!

Great program if you are looking for something different to get your fitness game on. If using the program as designed, and going indoor and outdoor, it will improve your strength, cardio and will get you out of your comfort zone. Supportive members who become friends, as well as seeing many new parts of Richmond are two other great perks!

Despite being a generally disciplined person, I've never been able to keep up with a fitness routine--until I joined X-Team. I planned to attend a couple times a week, but now find myself going every weekday without fail. It helps that I've gained 20 pounds in muscle mass after just a few short months. X-Team isn't your typical gym. The group fitness classes are different everyday and it's truly a team atmosphere. You have both indoor and outdoor options as well as yoga and group runs. Because the workouts change everyday, it never gets boring or predictable. You also end up hitting every muscle group without having to think about what to do next. I couldn't recommend X-Team more highly!
