Absolute worst bank. I got an account with them about a month ago and was charged $24 in fees before I even received my debit card. When I did NOT receive the pin in the mail they told me I needed to go in a replace my debit card and proceeded to charge me another $10 to replace it WITHOUT telling me. A total of $34 in fees and I have to still yet to make a transaction because the card still won't activate. Worst banking decision EVER

Original call to the Branch Manager, Travis went no where, he definitely was not listening to my needs, my stomach was already in a nervous uproar from an unauthorized charge that hit my account the night prior. Lisa whom is the manager over Travis called to assure me that all of my sweep fees & overdraft fees from this unauthorized charge would be refunded within 10 days, which a provisional credit Lisa fixed everything as she promised I thank God for Lisa!!!♥️♥️✝️✝️✝️

Took my 82 year old roommate to get a new bank card because we had just discovered her current one was fraudulently being used in New York. Called a Corporate number and spoke with a corporate person who suggested we go to the local branch so that not only could she cancel the card, she could get a replacement. Once at the local office branch, the “ladies” there were anything but helpful nor ladies. I watched as they ignored my 82 year old friend, but the youngest of them (supposedly the “assistant manager”) could only repeat: we need a valid form of ID. I pointed out that she has recently lost her drivers license, but she does have an expired passport which shows her picture, and she presented her current bank card. Instead of doing the professional thing and cancelling the card and dealing with the new card separately, all she would do was tell us what she couldn’t do. I asked for a little logic please, because my roommate IS presenting forms of ID that strongly suggest this person IS who they are saying they are. This only made her mad and pompous, arrogant and nothing close to helpful. We had specifically mentioned 5 charges in particular that were fraudulent, and she insisted on printing out a list of charges that had nothing to do with that. When I inquired as to why she was showing charges that had nothing to do with the fraud, she only got belligerent. Her fellow worker at that point simply grabbed the piece of printout, folded it into 3rds, stuffed the passport inside it and pretty much tossed it to my roommate. Then they proceeded to chant we can’t help you here. Keep in mind, we have now twice reported fraud occurring currently using her card. Since it was Now Saturday, after we left there was no way to contact a human being at the bank to close the card since the bank has no one answering phones until Monday morning. Many more fraudulent charges thus appeared from Saturday evening Thru Sunday night, early Monday morning. Thank you Woodforest National Bank for such charming associates.

Small bank, personalized attention, open 7 days a week, I love it. If you are tired of banking institutions that cater mostly to big businesses nickel-and-diming you, then wood forest is for you
