Whitehouse Motel Richmond South is a budget-friendly motel with generally good, quiet rooms where guests can park right in front. The people and staff are often described as wonderful, caring, gentle, friendly, respectful, and very understanding. The location is quiet with no shady activity and is near a restaurant, a 7-Eleven, a laundry mat, and other good places. The heat and AC work well, and the layout of rooms is pretty nice. However, maintenance and cleanliness can be inconsistent. Issues include doors with poor sealing at the bottom, occasional missing amenities like shampoo and conditioner, and very basic soap. Some furnishings are old, like flat pillows and outdated televisions without HDMI ports. While no bed bugs or roaches were noted, there can be problems with insects, including spiders and ants, requiring guests to be vigilant. Some rooms may not be recently vacuumed. The office staff can sometimes be rude, and key cards may have issues. Overall, it is considered an okay place for the purpose of shelter, especially for those seeking a great deal, but experiences vary significantly.
Not the best place to go for a family overnight stay. The area was depressed and scary at night with questionable people in and out of rooms all night. I would suggest paying a little more and driving a little further to an area not as run down and unkept.

Most rooms look nice. The motel is better than sleeping in a car, or on the streets. It's still full of safety hazards, and pests. The safety hazards are old WWII wiring and mold. Pests include bed bugs, roaches, and mice. The White House motel is a bad place to stay, but it's better than being homeless.
