Monnie is a scammer.
My wife and I came here a few weeks ago looking into switching to Verizon. Monnie greeted us upon walking in and showed us our options, we told him we didn’t want to switch from our current provider if it was going to be more than we were currently paying. Monnie offered us the Unlimited Plus plan and said we would get $1000 credit for each of our old iPhones we turned in, essentially making our new iPhones almost free. He offered us a variety of other things including protection/insurance, we declined them all. Overall the in store experience was fine and he was super nice.
Then we got the first bill.
Monnie had signed us up for the Unlimited Ultimate plan which is $20 more per line, and we didn’t have our full $1000 credit for the phones we turned in, only around $600 per phone. Turns out this promotion he offered us for the $1000 credit is only available for Unlimited Ultimate, which he obviously knew. While he was signing us up, the other employee working even mentioned “that promo is for unlimited ultimate only right?” to which Monnie said “no it’s fine.” We also had been signed up for the product protection we declined along with something else for $10/month that we didn’t ask for.
I took the bill back to this location and the manager Heather was able to straighten it all out, and additionally refunded us some additional money. I complained about the shady behavior of Monnie and she assured it would be addressed. She also confirmed that they make commission on the device sales so it’s pretty clear what happened:
Monnie knew if he priced us out for the true cost of the plan we would walk out and therefore he would get no commission. He lied to us in order to complete the sale and make his percentage.
Today, he had the audacity to call me and try and recover the money that Heather refunded us. I told him on the phone that I didn’t appreciate how he scammed us, amongst other things, and he just said “ok thank you!” and hung up the phone. I called back and asked to speak to Heather and he said she was busy and she would call me back. She never did so I can assume he just never told her I called.
In summary, Monnie is a scammer, avoid him if you go to this location.

I went in to get my Samsung S21+ checked because it was getting hot when charging. Angie checked my plan and I was eligible for a free upgrade. I left the store with a brand new Samsung S24+! Fantastic customer service.
