My experience at Tuckaway Variana has been very pleasant all of the teachers and staff speak, they are very family oriented and very professional. I can honestly say I have never felt that my children were in great care besides when they are with me :) and another thing that I love is that they have a app that is in each room the teachers Keep track on what your child is doing throughout the day. You can monitor how many times they use the restroom, what they eat how much they ate, what they did throughout the day and etc. but I love Tuckaway, THANK YOU GUYS!!! ?❤️✨

editing my review : please do not send your child to this “school,” several reports of neglect and straight up abuse
first, my son was denied lunch as a form of punishment, next the teacher was incessantly yelling at his preschool class
this is where i should’ve drawn the line yet NEXT i picked my little one up, he had blue lips because they laid him down for a nap to sleep in his swim clothes
finally, my son reported to me that his male teacher laid hands on him. we will not be going back and 10/10 do not recommend

Do not recommend. THIS PLACE IS GHETTO. Ashley is the only good thing about Tuckaway. Teachers are ghetto and gossip about coworkers and don't pay attention to children, (Facetiming on the clock, allowing the children to sleep until 5pm causing the children to soil themselves because teachers don't feel like watching them, children eating feces because they weren't watched) Admin is very rude, talk badly about their employees and bully them. Very low pay which isn't worth it. Admin allows for children to hit teachers just because they are autistic and non verbal. High schoolers are allowed to work here and some lie about their ages to get a full time position. Too many teachers so our hours are cut and they have nowhere to put some teachers so they make them clean or sit in a room for hours, took months to get CPR certified.

Would not recommend. Witnessed children being abused by other children. Staff is rude to parents and other staff when asked questions. The front staff were witnessed mocking other staff members and when others tried to intervene they also were mocked. Children left to sleep all day and not changed when soiled. Manager seems intimidated by staff which seems odd. Would definitely not recommend

Very Unprofessional, only accept children who Get Assistance from Parents who get help from DSS quickly , anyone who is paying out of pocket it’s a waiting list! This daycare Get the help from DSS and only feed your child animal crackers/cheese/water, no real snacks for the children, don’t help the children with homework after school. They will over charge you even if DSS pay full amount which is a scam. If you start asking questions about your account and balances, they will try to get rid of your child! Always hiring ages 15-17 years of age, to which those babies can’t understand their worth and what they really do behind them computers (underpay). They all about GREED OF MONEY. DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD COMPANY FOR YOUR CHILD TO ATTEND NOR WORKING THERE. My child seen 5/6 teaches in the last 2 years. The DIRECTORS, HEAD STAFF ARE ALL FAMILY AND THEY ARE NOT HELPING YOUR CHILD, they HELPING THEIR POCKETS.
I CAN ONLY SPEAK FOR TUCKAWAY VARINA.

Tuckaway Varina is the best daycare/school. I have a 4 year old great-grandson that attends there. The staff is kind, happy and well experienced. They are open to suggestions and if you have a problem they listen and resolve the issue immediately. My grandson is loved unconditionally even when he has a bad day. He's learning new things everyday. The grounds are well taken care of along with the inside of the building. It's a very busy place with lots of activities for the kids. I can't say enough great things about Tuckaway Varina! I 100% recommend this facility.

This may be a nice daycare to some but my Grand daughter hates going there because she is bullied everyday, they have cut her hair, shoved her, hit her, taken her things and call her names and nothing is ever done about it.

Your Employee Abbigal Royster was extremely concerning to both my partner and I. She was using the R slur as a insult and promoting the confederate flag. As a child development facility I am very concerned on the type of environment that she is creating. I urge you to take action.

My son has been full-time at Tuckaway since Jan 2019. It’s clear that his teachers love him as if he was their own. He has flourished both socially and academically since he started there.
There is a perfect balance of open play, learning and reading. The student population is diverse, both ethnically and economically (which was very important to us when selecting a pre-school.)
We love being able to pay online and we get daily updates on what the kids are learning.
We are sending our newborn baby there once he is old enough. So happy to be part of this family and we plan to send our kids to Tuckaway until 1st grade.

Childcare is awesome. However the lack of professionalism when it comes to book keeping is awful. I have been trying to get a billing issue resolved for months now. No one seems to care and I have been getting lied to over and over again. Not to mention the corporate office that oversees the billing never picks up the phone and ALL voicemail boxes are full. I have been significantly overcharged by double the amount owed. I was charged for atleast three weeks my child was not in attendance after being told she could not come back until the balance was paid down. I understand that this is a business however it should be conducted that way on both ends. (As a business but as well as how you treat your customers)
