I love this place, friendly and knowledgeable service. I’ve bought a ton of gear here new and used. Great consignment program and that allows you to borrow maps and books which in and of itself is a fantastic perk. They also offer equipment rental.

Fantastic service and a great selection of new and gently used goods. In passing, I mentioned that I was helping a homeless organization and the manager made a generous donation. The Trail Hut is a great community member and deserves your business!

A great little shop with a lot of well priced outdoor gear. A lot of used shoes and jackets for good prices. They have a great amount of variety for the size!

Super cool place to buy new and used gear.Great selection of used outdoors clothing at great prices. Some new gear is available as well. Bought a new kelty 20 degree sleeping bag while I was in the store. Owner was super nice and gave me a lidl grapefruit sparkling water while I shopped. Will definitely have to come back again for gear.

Super helpful and friendly staff and a great shop to have in Richmond. Wide variety of outdoor products (both new and used). On used items, prices go down every month. I emailed in about a pair of skis and they responded promptly over the holidays and set them aside for me until I could come in to purchase them. They can also order new gear from their distributor and you can use your “Trail Hut dollars” (if you have credit from a consignment sale) to purchase something they might not normally have in stock.

Such a great experience! I asked about a used tent, really just wanting to know if all the parts were there and if there were any defects, and staff actually helped me put the tent up to make sure everything was there and I knew how to put it up. Lots of great deals and very friendly and helpful staff!
