The wife wants a banana plant, so I stopped in to see if they had any. First off, I didn't realize how large this place is. There are tons of indoor plants and garden items, then a huge outside area as well. They had lots of little fun Halloween themed things to do outside. Staff was very helpful. There seemed to be quite a few people working, and they always made sure I was set, wherever I was. Looking for landscaping ideas or items, they had lots of those, too. Plants looked very healthy and full. This is the place to get your outdoor needs!

Very family friendly with a large variety of plant options and knowledgeable staff. I know nothing about plants myself but my wife enjoys the products from here.I do appreciate that they go all out with the seasonal themes and activities they put on. Currently they have harvest/Halloween themed attractions for children. In the winter they have a great Christmas experience

This place is truly great . It is very kid friendly. They constantly have activities and events that cater to the kids .. for fall this year had a haunted school bus, a bounce house and decorations. Santa comes during Christmas and during Easter they have a hunt , a Easter bunny and activities. The plants and accessories are good quality but a bit pricey. But has good selections. And had Fox fertilizer which is the best for growing great green. Lol

I have shopped at the Great Big Green house for years and I feel like this establishment has been going down hill since march of 2023. Few great staff, Matt, Michael, and George have always made it a good shopping experience. But the other nursery workers are horrible. They don’t know anything about plants, especially a young man named Elijah. Besides that i’ve had a really nice time shopping here. I think another issue with what seems to be high turnover, is the head store manager not valuing their employees. From what I have seen of the outdoor employees, they are out in the sun all day and working their butts off And i can’t imagine them getting paid very well. Overall not impressed.-Andrew

Rating is from the houseplant shopping perspective. I am a houseplant collector. I like to come here and wander and see things that are on my wishlist in person. They often have an decent assortment of orchids. Some interesting philodendrons. All of the large settled plants are quite beautiful. They don't have a great selection of uncommon plants, which is what I go to hunt for. But. And this is a big but. The houseplants are absolutely overrun with mealybugs. You can see them on many many many plants. And even if you don't see them- trust me, they're there. Last time I went in, I saw them all over the fiddle leafs, orchids, hoyas, and staghorn ferns. I went in for the hoya sale and I bought one with no visible bugs and it is going to be in quarantine for quite a while- especially now two weeks later with the first mealybug sighting. Another con though not as bad, the prices are far from competitive. You can get lucky, but if you're in it for houseplants, you're likely to get a better deal and less bugs anywhere else. I've purchased plants from here a half dozen times, and I'm sure I will again, but be aware of what you're getting into if you decide to buy too!!

I have loved this place for many, many years, way before they set up shop in their current location. I always find happy, healthy plants, and the employees have always been helpful and nice.I'm knocking one star off because holy heck, their prices have gone up, way up!I mean, a spider plant was too rich for my blood on a recent trip.I know, I know, I KNOW... Inflation! It's happening everywhere! But dang, it seems a little bit too extra in this case, and it breaks my heart.Other than that, this place is absolutely fantastic, and what they sell is definitely top quality, of that there is no question.

The size of this place and the variety of plants, supplies, accessories and giftware they carry is impressive. And best of all, this greenhouse is the only one I've found locally so far that carries pitcher plants and Venus flytraps (see image)!! If I lived closer, I would've waited until their shipment of separate plants arrives next week. But I have plenty of insects in my greenhouse to keep these critters fed!

I'm a planting and gardening novice, but the staff is friendly, helpful, and you don't have to track them down. This is a great place to get everything you need and maybe learn a little bit! They do activities for kids! My son and I did a little pollinator themed craft there over the weekend and we both loved it!

If you have a penchant for plants or anything else plant or landscape-related, then you must experience this impressive place. It sells annuals and perennials of all sorts, of course, but offers so much more!!You will find trees, including citrus, shrubs, herbs, palms of so many types, ferns, bonsai, cacti/succulents, orchids, birds of paradise and other tropicals, herbs, vines, berry plants and shrubs, a native plant section, a bee/hummingbird plant section, pond plants, lilies, thousands of pots of all colors and sizes, bird baths, soil, mulch and fertilizers, seeds, garden implements, hydroponic supplies, hardscaping material and much, much more. It's an amazing place inside and out. The plants are healthy and vital, and the prices are competitive. There are cash registers inside and out, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

They have a huge selection of good quality plants of all types and everything needed for the garden and/or the support and display of house plants. Also a knowledgeable staff, fertilizers and garden chemicals and pretty much everything else. It's a little pricey but convenient with everything at one location.

I love going to GBGH! The staff there is so helpful and the selection of plants is AMAZING! HUGE shoutout to Steve G. He was such a huge help to me today! He was patient and knowledgeable. Took the time to answer all of my questions of which there were MANY! And, even gave me extra suggestions for my flowerbeds. I am not a yard gal and going to GBGH makes my life so easy because everyone is so friendly and just knows alot about all things landscaping. Highly recommend!

I like that there are employees walking around asking if they can help you. Pleasant, knowledgeable people, wide selection of indoor and outdoor plants have made this my first gardening choice for decades. I would like to see more sales (because I enjoy sales!).
