The staff here is great! We had to abruptly leave the area for medical reasons and they were extremely accommodating with us leaving before the end of our lease. I would highly recommend the Ella to anyone!

I have never had an easier experience applying for an apartment than with The Ella, thanks to Shanice! My partner and I are moving in next month, and Shanice walked us through every step of the way, and had answers to all of our questions. We've had such a great experience so far, and are so excited to live here!

The Ella was the first place I lived when I relocated to Richmond. Living here was a wonderful experience. The leasing office staff is WONDERFUL and so on top of it. Maintenance is also top notch. Specifically Todd from maintenance fulfilled most of my requests - he is quick to fulfill requests, kind, courteous, very professional, and you can tell he has a really deep knowledge of everything related to maintenance. He is truly a fix it guy! Highly recommend living here.

I recently moved in and I have to say, the process was incredibly easy thanks to the staff. Maria, in particular, went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and answered all of my questions.The apartment itself is fantastic - it's spacious, modern, and has all the amenities I was looking for. The location is also perfect - There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this place for living. It is highly maintained and very well served.

I picked The Ella because wanted a one bedroom with a balcony, an oversized closet with room for a vanity, and space big enough to have a full sized dining room table. I just love the layout and how spacious it is. But my favorite part is how quiet it is! I’ve never heard one of my neighbors through the walls.

The Ella is by FAR the best apartment I've lived in. Maintenance requests get resolved in a timely manner and the team is so kind and helpful! I love the parking options and have never had an issue finding a spot, even though I don't reserve. The leasing team is so fun and I appreciate that they have so many events for the residents and take part in them to get to know us better. It's an extremely pet-friendly apartment and I love leaving in the morning or coming home and running across the sweetest dogs of all sizes. For the first time I've finally found a place I actually want to renew a lease at!

I absolutely love living at The Ella! Not only are the apartments big and spacious, perfect for me because I live alone. But the managerial staff are always super friendly and accommodating. I couldn’t ask for a better community to live in.

the ella is by far the best place i’ve ever lived. the apartments are beautiful with lots of natural light. maintenance is awesome. the building feels safe. parking is great. but my favorite part is the community here. there’s lots of events where you can meet your neighbors and make friends in the building. i definitely love where i live.

I’ve been at The Ella for almost a year now and completely love it! The location is central, not far from Scott’s Addition, and also close to downtown. The staff here are wonderful and responsive to any issues that need to be addressed. The special perk is that I love is the resident events that they host weekly (happy hours, clubhouse events, goodies in the leasing house etc.) The apartments are modern and spacious which is something that was important to me when shopping for an apartment.

After living here and moving out. This place charged me $600 "cleaning" fee. I took pictures of the apt. It was not $600 worth of anything to do. I asked the debt collector to break down the charges. They said painting! ?
Shouldn't they be responsible for painting?? Dont you paint between residents anyway?
No court date. Just put it on my credit and now a law firm is calling, harassing me to pay. To add insult to injury. Its making me look like I left somewhere without paying. Now its affecting me finding a place to live. In an already volatile and ridiculously expensive renters market. Also didn't return the security deposit. Which is why I don't like apt complexes. Get an attorney upon moving out, or its a stick up at the end!
