Wish I could give less than 1 star. Worst experience that I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and call anyone but Southside Moving and Storage. They damaged also every piece of furniture that they moved and they overcharged me. This is all due to one of the workers that did nothing but sit down the entire time and made my time go over estimate. When I reached out to them to let them know of my poor experience, the only response I got back was an email that said "fill out this form". The form contained some nonsense about only covering $0.60/lbs of my damaged property. I replied to the email demanded a phone call, which I got a few days later, from a gentleman that informed me that they had to let go the employee I was referring too due to other complaints/issues, and then assured me they would be taking care of the damages. Weeks went by, I followed up with an email, and again, the only response was a fabricated list that not only was fabricated weights, but did not have nearly half of the items I listed as damaged. They offered me just shy of $150 to cover the damage to THOUSANDS of dollars worth of my damaged property and on top of being overcharged for their services to begin with. I repeat, CALL ANYONE ELSE, ANYONE, EXCEPT THIS COMPANY!!!

I used this company to move from Colonial Heights to Glen Allen. The two men were professional, nice and fast. They disassembled and assembled. Very respectful of me and my belongings. I would and have recommended them. prices are very affordable.

One of the fastest moves I’ve ever had. Steve, Derek, and Marco were some of the most efficient movers in the business. They expedited a move that should have taken 2 days and made it happen on the same day. Unpacking was some of the easiest I’ve ever done. Thanks guys!

Do not I repeat. Do not use this moving company my furniture was damage and the company denied my claim and when I asked for it to be explained to me why my claim was denied I never heard anything back from the company! #Trashhhhh

****AVOID AT ALL COSTS**** This is the biggest rip-off joint I have ever dealt with! They quoted me one price and lied to get more money from me. They are unreliable, showed up late, damaged my goods, damaged my walls, and prolonged the moving time to get more money (a LOT more!). The workers stood around complaining to get more money from the company and threatened to walk off the job (with my furniture still on the truck!) When i tried to call to notify them, they either never answered my call, placed me on hold, or said I got disconnected. The movers spoke very poorly of their employer the entire day. They also damaged my furniture to the point of large pieces of wood being chipped off. They put significant dings in and scuffs on my walls while moving my furniture and did not take responsibility for it. Being a military wife for almost 20 yrs, I have never had such a poor moving experience - and this was only TWO very expensive bedroom sets (both severely damaged!) I would give ZERO stars if possible!

Mid Atlantic Movers The movers appeared to be inexperienced and showed complete disregard for the safe handling of my property. They did not have proper moving materials, contrary to what I was told they'd arrive with. They drug my heavy furniture across my hardwood floors creating long, deep scratches in multiple areas. They wrapped several pieces of my expensive furniture with packing tape placed DIRECTLY on the wood, since they did not have blankets or other wrapping materials. The tape damaged the finish on several pieces of my furniture when removed. Several additional pieces of my furniture were scratched and damaged, including one leg broken off a sofa, one leg broken off a credenza, another credenza had a chip broken from its upper trim, a coffee table was broken, and the storage clip was broken from my treadmill, which can no longer be stored upright as a result. A large flower pot and plant were broken when the movers bumped into the plant with a piece of furniture. The leather on two chairs was damaged by having other furniture stacked on top of them. The seats of my dining room chairs also showed evidence of other furniture having been stacked on top of them. The workers smoked cigarettes throughout the move.

They broke my office desk, placed a hole in wall, and refused fix or repair the items. They denied my claim for damages. The did not return any of my calls, voicemails, or emails for weeks. I would never use them again even if the service was free.

They say they are a moving company that moves pianos. They broke the peddles on my piano and refuse to fix it The piano is now unusable.

The movers at Southside Moving & storage were very helpful and efficient with my move this past week. They made sure to treat my items with care and answered all of my questions with professionalism. Would recommend to anyone.

Worst movers ever! Slow to go over estimated time. Couldn't fit all my furniture, boxes and new bedroom suite (the one piece they did take they broke when they dropped it in my storage unit) and broke my 2 TVs. I have received no response from my several calls regarding my TVs.

Refused to cancel or issue any refund when request was made within 24 hours of scheduling. Associate said they would cancel and issue partial refund but when called 2 days later, there was no cancellation and "they don't do refunds". This contradicts their terms and condition, as well. When asked for the cancellation and refund policy they were quoting, they refused. They will lie and do a bait and switch on you so fast your head will spin!

Callef on 1/5 to get a quote talkef to agent Tony gave him my info told him i would call him back to let him kno he haa been texting,calling, and email me everyday since blocked his number and he use's another number to call this is harrassment,unprofessional and irrtating.
