I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1998 as well as a Master stylist and color specialist. I visited this store with a friend to go over some color options for her hair because it was conveniently located compared to a professional salon supply store such as Cosmoprof. While standing in the color isle, an employee stood beside us even after telling her no thank you when she offered to help us. As I was discussing options with my friend not only did she proceed to offer her recommendation despite not being asked for it, but provided incorrect information based on her inaccurate assessment, mistaking my friends natural color as an ash rather than strawberry blonde. I politely disagreed and explained to her that it was a indeed a strawberry blonde. I was amazed that she could make such an inaccurate assessment given that the 2 colors are extreme opposites. I then continued to discuss options with my friend and the employee proceeded to butt in and debate, even after making her aware of my credentials, which was even more amazing. This employee may have been a licensed professional but she did not share any information with us about her credentials. I however assumed she was not especially after asking my friend what color she colored her hair, despite the line of demarcation from her previous highlights and the 4 inches of new growth making it clearly obvious. As some customers may appreciate the advice from employees at Sallys, I think it is very important they make customers aware of their credentials, if any, so that customers can make an informed decision when it comes to their hair. I also think it's important that any non credentialed/unlicensed employees "stay in their lane" when dealing with real licensed professionals. Sadly in this case, my friend would have been misadvised which would have led to unnecessary expenses and double the work for me, if I were not there. As any professional knows an accurate assessment is essential in deciding the color, toner, or strength of developer to use to avoid unexpected or disastrous results.

so annoying when they answer the phone before your question even though you were standing there waiting patiently before the phone started ringing.

Got off work and rushed to make it before closing time. Got there at 6:55pm and door was locked but customers inside at cash register. They close at 7pm. Donna told me she just up and decided to close early and I would not be serviced. Called higher management from the numbers on the wall and Ms. Barbara Elledge completely turned my experience around! I was able to get what I needed! The good always outweighs the bad, thank you Barbara!!

The weren’t open when google said they were almost an hour after opening time. Also no one was in there so I know they didn’t just lock the door.

The Sally's store on Carmia Way/Midlothian has the best staff of any Sally's I have visited. They are knowledgeable, kind, and quick with their service considering their employer isnt doing enough to ensure appropriate staffing. I specifically want to mention Madison today. She was alone in the store for the entire day and was the most helpful person. Even when she had a very rude customer on the phone, she handled herself with grace and poise, and was so polite. I have been in that situation, and Madison was the epitome of a great employee. Everyone at this store deserves a raise!!! Thank you all!!!

Asked the person working for help & she acted like I was bothering her. She completely ignored me the entire time I was in the store because she was having a personal conversation with someone else.

Went to pick up my online order around 7:30 and as I pulled in I saw two ladies exiting the store. I'm assuming they were the employees because the door was locked when I attempted to go in. I waited for about 10 minutes outside trying to call. I assumed they saw me waiting outside the store and thought maybe the associate working just needed to take a quick break. Very disappointed about the early store closure with no notice.

The store isn't the problem the problem is sallys itself , after going there several times and finally catching it open there were 2 women that helped me with some natural hair care and they were great it just sucks knowing the company is going so down hill because they don't pay their workers enough for the work they do. Literally its terrible they are so short staffed they can't even take lunch breaks without the customers getting mad at them like in the previous reviews.

Opens whenever the rude teen employees feel like getting up off their butts to open. Was supposed to open at 10am. It’s almost 10:30am, still closed.

I came here two days in a row and the customer service was just amazing each time. The cashier with pink hair was extremely helpful and polite. They even provided great detail on the nail file that I purchased!! And the two ladies tonight were kind. Unfortunately, I had to come in minutes before closing, but I didn’t feel rushed at all and they took their time helping me! Thank you!
