As MorningStar storage this place was great. The employees are very caring, attentive, and pleasure to engage with. However, this place was bought by SmartStop Self Storage during my leasing. This company is a nightmare. The information of the transition was not given in advance to us as paying customers. The phone lines to the office were immediately disconnected, and you were sent to a call center that took upwards of 20+ minutes for someone to answer your call. I was hung up on twice when I was attempting to figure out why the lines were cut and I was unable to get in touch with staff about my storage unit. I also attempted to leave feedback about how unorganized and poorly executed this transition was. I was promptly hung up on by a call center worker. My advice is to now avoid this business as there is no longer a professional, welcoming, and respectful atmosphere.

10/10 would recommend it to anyone looking for storage rental. I called in on a Friday, Aron helped me book my unit in 15 minutes, and the next day I moved in and used the free rental truck! The process couldn't have been any more smooth when it came to booking the unit, reserving the truck, moving in, setting up my unit, learning about fees, etc, great job all around. Aron is super friendly and carried a conversation the whole time, he had several people moving in and still made sure all of us had what we needed, you're the man Aron! The price is a little on the higher end, but for what you are paying for I would say it's worth it.

Maybe a bit more expensive than I was looking for, but convenient and responsive, and Aron was super chill to deal with and helpful getting set up and squared away. All in all would reccommend.

There is no contest, this is the best storage facility in Richmond!The entire facility is kept clean, well lit and offers 24/7 access. Security is definitely not lacking here; it’s access controlled and has a security camera on just about every hallway. They have quite a few different carts available, and both a car port loading bay, as well as a dock you can pull a bigger truck up to.However, what really sets this facility apart from all of the others is the staff. As mentioned in several other reviews, Melinda and Aaron are awesome. They are professional, understanding and beyond helpful. The customer service provided here is amazing!
