I joined RVAPT in September 2021 and have participated in Performance training and am currently on the RVA Weightlifting team. I am a working mom who was nervous to get back in the gym, but the coaches and members made me feel so welcome! Scaling or adapting exercises as I needed is encouraged and I always feel supported in my goals. I highly recommend RVAPT for those looking for a great workout, and an even better community.

RVAPT has a welcoming and comfortable environment with coaches who genuinely care about members’ well-being and success. I have been part of the Fit program since October 2023 and have felt welcomed by all members and staff. I came in with very little gym experience and a lot of anxiety, so I can highly recommend RVAPT from that perspective. There is a program and a spot for everyone here.

Being at RVA Performance Training has been a game changer for my fitness journey. I have been able to maintain consistency better than I ever have. A major factor enabling my consistency is the community. The staff and other patrons create a sense of belonging that has made it exciting to go to the gym. The programs offered have something for everyone, and the instructors are kind, knowledgeable and adaptable. Since starting at RVAPT I’ve fallen in love with Olympic weightlifting through the RVA Barbell program. Though it’s a difficult sport, it has been made accessible through excellent coaching and amazing teammates.

I joined RVA PT a few months after moving to the area, and a year and a half later I can easily say it's the best decision I've made since moving. I have gained strength, confidence with lifts, and an entire community that I could not imagine my life without. I have enjoyed Fit and Performance classes and have been supported by coaches and members every step of the way. Best gym in Richmond!

I’ve been a member for a little over a year and love it! Everyone is incredibly supportive and the coaching staff does a great job making sure everyone is always comfortable with the movements. There are great programs in place to teach Olympic lifts that help build your confidence going into classes. What I love most is that everything is geared towards longevity and keeping a happy, healthy, and strong body. The mix of lifts, accessory movements, and fast paced workouts can’t be beat :) highly recommend whether you’re brand new to fitness or experienced, there’s something for everyone!

My husband and I have been going to RVAPT for over 2 years and love it! The whole gym is very welcoming and the coaches are always excited to see you. I love that the coaches try to know everyone by name! I also love that the workouts are always killer and different so you aren’t repeating the same workout. We have rarely left a class feeling like we didn’t just work every muscle in our body.I can’t recommend this gym enough! This gym is for anyone who is just starting their fitness journey or if you’re already a CrossFit pro- you are able to modify every workout to fit your performance level. My favorite part about this gym is that I am able to workout with my husband who is at a higher performance level than I am and I’m still able to do the same workout just with modifications.This gym has changed our lives and we are very thankful to be part of this community!

I’ve been going to RVA Performance for a year and a half, and I am so happy I am a part of the community. I go to both the Fit and Performance classes, and I enjoy the programming and coaches for both. I also appreciate how open to feedback the staff is. They genuinely want their members to be happy.

RVAPT is the best atmosphere for training that I’ve ever been a part of. Everyone I have met is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Heather has consistently helped me accomplish my fitness goals and continued to set the bar higher for achievement. Since Day 1 at RVAPT I have felt welcomed and at home - I strongly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about classes or personal training.

I’ve been a member at RVA PT for a few years now and I am so glad I joined. The coaches and members are awesome. I love going to a gym that has cycled programing so I can see the progress I am making over the weeks. And I don’t have to think about it! I just show up, am told what to do, and get a really great workout in. The community and classes keep me coming back consistently. I wish I had joined sooner.

I started going to RVA PT a few months ago to join a gym that was group class based while also focusing on strength training. I have learned how to do major lifts, gymnastics movements, and have gained greater confidence in scaling workouts for myself. The coaching staff is all SO nice! It feels like the whole team cares about each member and makes an effort to get to know you. Member meet-ups, happy hours, competitions, and community events are awesome ways to get involved. I highly recommend RVA PT to anyone looking to try something new, find community, and gain confidence.

RVAPT is legit!!! I joined a couple months back and the community they’ve built is awesome. Workouts have been tough, but there are so many modifications available to you and the coaches are super helpful and committed to your success. I’m pretty clueless when it comes to working out, and I feel comfortable asking anyone about anything without being judged. They also partner with Gold Food RVA, a great meal prep service that you can pick up at the gym! If that wasn’t enough, there are also great hangouts and events all the time, so you have to try pretty hard to not make friends. If you’re thinking about RVAPT at all, stop thinking and get on in there!

I joined RVAPT about a year ago and I absolutely love it! Consistency was my word for 2023 and as soon as I stepped in, I knew I'd find it here. I had some experience with different Crossfit gyms previously, but this is by far the best gym I've ever been to.The coaches are THE BEST in town. Their knowledge and experience are evident, but what sets them apart is their genuine care for each member. They take the time to get to know you and your goals.It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, everyone is welcome, and there's a real sense of community. The programming is easy to understand and very adaptable to each person. I love that people literally cheer and encourage each other during workouts!It's more than just a place to work out; it's a fantastic supportive community that keeps me consistent, motivated and excited about my fitness journey.If you're looking for a gym with great coaches and even better people, this is definitely the place to be! GO RVAPT FAM!

Can’t say enough good things about RVAPT! Not only are there various types of classes you can take, but all levels are actually welcome. Regardless of your fitness level you can get quality coaching and a good workout.

I joined RVA PT in the fall of 2022 and, a year later, I'm still impressed. This gym genuinely delivers on its promise of a positive and supportive environment and adjusts to its members' needs. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the sense of community among members is remarkable. Unlike other gyms in Richmond, RVA PT backs up its words with actions.
