I’ve had nothing but great experiences here! I remember when I first came in here like 10 years ago I bought a cute tank top that I wore all the time. I bought my birthday dress here 2 years ago and it’s one of my favorite dresses. I got this amazing genuine lamb skin leather coat last winter that I found in their online shop and it’s seriously amazing, one of my most favorite pieces ever! I just recently bought an Ed Hardy bag that I am just in love with. I also got my boyfriend an awesome Seinfeld shirt for his birthday! I only really buy things that scream “buy me” and I love that they have an online shop so I can browse even from home. Picking up things has always been a breeze! Everyone who works here is also always so kind and sweet! I’ve also sold things to them a couple times in the past years and either got cash or store credit that I would use later at their shop for a special occasion. Thank you Rumors!

I brought in clothes and accessories to sell. I was told 12pm was too late for any additional payouts for the day, but they would look through my buy and could offer store credit. The store credit offer for all the items they took was so low that it left me $2 short of the paying for the items that I wanted to buy. I went to put the $2 on my bank card and was told that the minimum was $5, so I’d have to put the remaining $3 on a Store credit/gift card so they could I could use my bank card. TL;DR - somehow they got my stuff and my money? They don’t accept unique and like new accessories either for buy ins and the ones they sell are coming off on the racks they are displayed on. I’ll only ever go back if I’m in the area to try to cash out the mostly worthless Store credit.
It’s also suspect to see so many 5 star reviews from users who have only written 1-5 reviews total.

Today was my first time selling at Rumors. I will say I wasn’t sure what to expect based on reviews so I went in a bit on guard. Honestly, it was such a great experience for me from checking in to receiving very fair compensation for the items I brought in. I had a lot to go through and they somehow got through it very quickly and efficiently. Michelle and Alexa were absolutely so kind and wonderful to work with. Both very nice girls. I will for sure be going back to this location to sell and buy clothing for my kids. A very fun little boutique with super cute & unique finds.

This place is so amazing. The selection is amazing and the vibe is perfect. Such an awesome Richmond staple! If you’re looking for a cool spot for unique, vintage clothes this is your spot!!

Selection is mid. But I'm honestly writing this review because their staff/employees have a horrible attitude. They act very prestigious and are incredibly rude to VCU students. Plenty of Richmond locals know about this stores attitude! The attitude needs a change!

Have been selling and shopping Rumors for years at NC locations. Since moving to VA, some of the staff give unfriendly and judgmental vibes, so I’ve mostly bought online and only go in to sell and pick up. But then today I went to pickup and they said they don’t accept returns anymore??? Somethings you can’t account for when shopping online, like is the material stiff, itchy, breathable, do the straps stay up or not, is the fit is very tight or loose, you can’t always use a tape measurer and a picture, you need to actually feel and wear the garment. So I guess I just won’t be shopping here anymore? The prices went up a couple years ago anyway and they’re not as affordable as they used to be so I guess it’s whatevs.

it’s cute a cute shop I like the vibe in there. it’s just very expensive for quality of clothing that feels the same as shein’s quality. I’ve even found some old shein stuff sold there. I wouldn’t really call it a thrift store in particular, just sorta a more vintage resell store. If you are looking for an actual thrift store with low prices i’d go elsewhere. The band t shirts are pretty cool sometimes though.

If you’re actually broke and need to thrift, this is not the place.Everything is $25+ and the jewelry/socks are all clearly bought from SHEIN or WISH and marked up from $1 to $25

Don't waste your money. I bought a necklace, and while I knew it was not high quality, it was so cheap it feels like hollow plastic instead of metal and its stuck on the fat chain so tight that the pendant doesn't slide or come off to put it on a better chain. I reached out about the issue to give them a chance to make it right and they said they do not offer refunds, but put a $10 credit on my account. Like I'm going to shop there again after this. People want you to shop small business, but they don't think they have to provide customer service. So now I'm out $10 for the item and $5 shipping. And I'm sure it cost a regular stamp to send. for something going in the garbage. Very disappointed.

Small selection. You can find some good deals but the prices are generally high for what you're getting.

LGBTQIA+ friendly & staff. Great jewelry, accessories; glasses!! Male staff doesn’t seem too friendly like the females about their jobs. #customerserviceneedsalittlework

Just an overrated and overpriced “vintage” shop with a terribly rude staff. You walk in and the energy is downright stuffy and pretentious — this is Broad Street Richmond, not the 90210. Be serious
