I was profiled and treated like a thief here. There was no fitting room attendant present when I needed to try things on.. if you’ve ever been to Ross, you know this is common, so I entered (the space did not state it was closed, for the record, and other people were in there), found a room, and started trying on items, as others were and had done too.More than half way through, while standing unclothed, in the dressing room, the now-working attendant startled me outside my door and demanded that I stop what I’m doing (I had AirPods in & on) and count my items. It was alarming and loud.I stopped, counted the hangers I could see, was told I was over the limit. I apologized and said I’d be right out. When I was finished and dressed, I walked out to put the items I didn’t want on the rack and the woman (who was blocking my exit from the rooms) made me put all of my items on a different rack so she could count all of them, then she reprimanded me — LOUDLY — for counting my items wrong in the room, for being over the item limit, for not waiting for her to come back to her spot, and/or not reading the posted rules. When I tried to speak, she yelled over me. I hadn’t realized to weight of protecting all of the $6.99 clothing items was so heavy. Can someone give her some PTO?I had not ever experienced such strictness for the Ross fitting room prior, so I was a little stunned. I stood there waiting for her to finish yelling at me (there was a witness to this, a young boy was watching with concern) for not reading the 8-item limit, then quite rudely dismissing me saying, “you can go now.”As I walked to get in line with the clothes I was going to buy, I heard her on the intercom asking for management. The next call was for security. I stood in line as various people watched me. It was embarrassing and horrible, especially as I’ve been dealing with nearly unbearable social anxiety and this was my third time in public in quite some time.Just wanted a few work out items.

Really annoying you can’t return items that have been laundered.

Nightmare!!! Standing in long line over weekend and an employee and customer got into a heated verbal confrontation! Yelling and screaming and cursing! Who does that in a store??? Not one manager or person on duty did anything! It is so no class low class! Whoever trains their employees(or not) needs to be fired or retrained. Stressed me out for rest of the day

Horrible customer service. Acted like they couldn’t help me and to busy having side conversations when it’s busy as anything in the store.

Been shopping at Ross for many years,. I purchased a travel size perfume at NC location but I didn’t realized it had been already opened till I got home here in Richmond. I took the item back to this location, and explained to “Sarah” the situation. She said she didn’t feel comfortable taking back the product. She also told me to come back tomorrow and talk to Steve. When I did that, Steve said I would have to call the NC location and get a manager to call him to verify. So I called corporate this morning,. They apologized and ask could they send me a store credit which I declined. I no longer want to do business at Ross stores. Atleast for a year or so,. The customer service has gone down tremendously

I really like this store in Richmond, VA. They have so many name brands for half the price or less than a mall!! So many cool items you wouldn't find at a regular store!

Went to the Ross in willowlawn, Richmond.I took a few dresses for fitting. I selected two and brought other ones and the hangers outside to handover. The person who manages the fitting room was so rude to me. She told me to put all the clothes back on the hangers and she supervised me while I was doing. She also was throwing me instructions and made me redo. Even the two I selected she made me put them on the hangers and then allowed me to get out. She was treating others the same. She was talking to people joking while we are doing her job. I have never been treated like this anywhere else I shopped so far.

The staff closed the store early tonight. The doors are locked and it’s not closing time. I see three people that registers.
