Prices are way too high for a thrift store and very odd check out practices. Walking around the store, just run of the mill lower quality thrift store items with crazy high prices. Nothing "antique" or of good quality. Also, this stores check out procedures are REALLY odd for 2024 ! A guy behind the counter stood behind a hanging piece of plexiglass and has ZERO actual interaction with customers. Customers are left to scan their credit card, bag their items, etc. So what's the point of even having a cashier if customers do their jobs ? Why not just have a "self check out" counter if your "cashiers" are either too lazy to do actual cashiering, bagging, etc. or too afraid of catching a common cold they won't interact with your customers from behind plexiglass ?I would have expected this type of no customer interaction at the height of the covid hysterics. But not 4 YEARS LATER !We don't live near this store so definitely won't be going back. But I do feel bad for regular customers. Make a day trip out of it and drive to the Habitat in Williamsburg. So much better quality items and customer service.

Richmond Habitat ReStore is a store that sells all kinds of stuff. They accept donations. They sell furniture, housewares and much more. They also sell lighting and kitchenware. It is located in Richmond Virginia. They get new stuff in everyday. I recommend Richmond Habitat ReStore. I give them four stars.

While I love all the ReStore in the RVA area, this is the one that has the most upscale quality offerings.I regularly donate household items and clothes to local thrift shops, but I had a few antiques that I loved and were hard to part with, I wanted to donate them somewhere that would sell them closer to what they are worth. And you know the folks who shop here know what they are looking for home items. It was good to know they are going to a good place.

I would like to say the store is great! There is one employee Micheal who works at the store he is A pleasure! Every time I come in to buy or browse Micheal is there to greet me with A smile. He goes the extra mile whether he’s on the floor or behind the register to make you feel satisfied and takes the time out to listen and answer any questions you may have. Thank you Micheal for being kind and personal.

Bought 2 as they said new toilets but got to the house one won’t flush and the other we can’t even install it. $150 per toilet and can’t even return it. I’m very upset about what happened.

Very nice staff and great location. Super expensive. The small stuff is cheap, electric switches and such, the rest too high. Used vanities 100 and up, old lamps 20 and then there is the new stuff. I've been to many Habitats and this is by far the most priciest. You are better off driving to Powhatan or Hanover. I understand that habitat builds homes, but it should also benefit those in the community that can't afford a contractor or Lowes when a repair is needed. This Habitat misses the mark.

Virginia and her team are an awesome group! I would highly recommend stopping in periodically. This was my first visit, and while I wasn't able to get what I went looking for - I got something MUCH better, in my opinion.Long story short: I've lived in my house for 4 years and have a granite counter top that is patterned/colored in a way that is REALLY hard to find a tile to work with. I went into the Midlothian ReStore yesterday for another project, and found a tile I THOUGHT had a serious chance of working (and that I had priced previously and knew I couldn't afford) at a great price. I had reviewed their return policy and approached asking if I could purchase 1 or 2 tiles to take home and see if they matched. (Note, this next part can't be done every time, but I apricate it was done this time.) The clerk got Virginia and I explained the situation - She made a handshake deal with me - she put the box missing the 2 pieces behind the counter, I took the 2 pieces home to test. Fast forward roughly 2 hours, a trip home and back to the store. . . I walked out with enough high grade natural stone tile with the perfect color grout for less than $50 to do my kitchen back splash.I would definitely recommend stopping in and looking around.

This store is absolutely amazing! I worked directly with Virginia and she helped me find exactly what I needed. There is so much to look at there and the prices are amazing. They do great work.

Yeah, there was a time I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. But nowadays, their prices are often too high for used/dated product. Kinda like other second-hand places, they are apparently subscribing to a different audience. Let the buyer bewsre.

Prices have gone through the roof. Disappointing, because I liked to support habitat, but in 10mins on Facebook market place and I can find a similar item for half the price.

This used to be a wonderful place to find treasure! My last visit (last week) after not stopping in for a few months, I was appalled at the priced that were attached to donated items. After asking a volunteer if there was new management, she sheepishly confirmed my thoughts. Then tried to explain it was to help build homes . I then explained that this "new management" needs to understand that these houses they're building will also need to be furnished with furniture! This used to be a place that you get nice furniture on a very restricted budget. The donations that people make are in good faith. It is an abuse of that faith that I find sickening. I really doubt that Jimmy Carter would approve of the new managements price gouging! there is no humanity at the Midlothian habitat.
