Really awesome location. A wide array of oddities and the prices are relatively affordable for the rarity of these items. It really is like walking into a museum with different taxidermy animals and artifacts. They even had items involved in ancient Egyptian burial.

This place was ok...it is definetly creepy enough without all the dead animals floating in bottles....the fetus of a human baby at 20 weeks did it for me...do not recommend if u are a mother who has lost a child in utero. It definetly triggered me.

9/22/24 - Very Unique place with lots to see. I loved the butterfly/Insect sections. I got a red butterfly and it was so nice that they have information on the bug behind the framing. Would love to come back to see what new items they have. Staff was very friendly as well.

Literally the best Oddities Shop around! They have such a great variety of items and super cool things you can’t find anywhere else around here! I visit once a year for my birthday and I drive 2 hours just to go to this shop! The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable about everything! 10/10 would recommend for any of your oddities/spooky needs! Thanks for everything guys you’re awesome!!

Best places for a little adventure in Richmond. There are so many mind blowing animals in here that you will likely never see in real life. The staff is very kind and helpful, I've literally never walked out of here without a smile on my face. There's something here for everyone! Whether you have $15 or $5,000 to spend, you can easily find something cool to take home. They also offer pet preservation in-house which is very affordable and easy to set up. Overall 11/10 would recommend visiting. And the Hollywood Cemetary entrance is about a block away so you can visit there right after! I included a few pictures of specimens I picked up there but they offer SO MUCH MORE in store.

Omg!! This is really The True Gift Shop, FYI bring all your money! If you like weird, strange, unusual, never seen before type of things, witchcraft, crystals, bugs and creatures, you will be amazed by this store. The interior design is literally perfect, flowing together, giving a very pleasant vibration to the store. Feels like Feng Shui designed and it’s definitely working! So many things to choose from but like I said bring money!! I wouldn’t say the store expensive in fact fairly priced compared to what it’s offering but these type of things aren’t cheap on the same note. We had amazing experience, idk how many times we were wowing “ omg” .

I fell in love with this place immediately!! The curiosity of it all. I want all the skulls!! The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to pack my itty bitty vole skull for travel. I can't wait to give them more business!!

I have nothing but positive things to say. My autistic son, got a sweatshirt 3 years ago from their store. He wears it every day. It has taken a tole. His cat got his claw stuck and tore his beloved sweatshirt and it was a whole thing. My husband called and asked if they would mind getting some more in store, as they had not stocked the zip up in years. They happily agreed, and we had a new sweatshirt in hand in a matter of weeks! We are so grateful! Thank you for understanding our kiddo and our plight! You have earned loyal and grateful customers!

Over a decade of service to their community, proud Richmonders, always enriching the place they call home in so many cool ways.
