January 2022 by Yoga Bria
I followed instructions on their website in September 2021 and still have not heard anything back, and it is January of 2022. Not only is this unprofessional it is also uncalled for. To reduce peoples effort a simple response would have worked. Why tell someone to fill out the form on your website if you are not going to get back to them? It logically doesn’t make any sense. Since I have filled out the form four months ago I have seen others become ambassadors and all on social media which means they have responded to other people except for me. I’m not sure if it is intentional or what but this is definitely not a good look. When people reach out for help a simple response is professional, but to continue to not respond is not only unprofessional but childish. Do better. No response is needed now. Just wanted to let others know about MY experience.

Be prepared to spend the entire hour with Kailee at Mindful Movement because she ONLY offers personalized, one-on-one, hands-on physical therapy treatment. If you want your physical therapist's time and attention during what can be grueling PT sessions, that's exactly what you will get at Mindful Movement. YOU are Kailee's sole focus for the entire hour. Relax, release and submit your body to active PT with Kailee while you meet with her, do your work at home and your body will make solid progress its path to healing. Kailee doesn't take insurance, but neither will you be one of dozens of clients being treated at the same time. Knowing I'll see outstanding from having worked with her, paying out of pocket is worth every penny. I'm in my 7th decade so when it comes to healing my body I don't have the time nor the desire to mess around with anything less than highly effective solutions. I lost patience decades ago with the ineffective results from assembly-line physical therapy. We pay now, or we pay later. But pay we will. Tip: During my research for physical therapy, I found out Virginia law allows PT visits for up to 30 days before you're required to get a doctor's referral.

Although it says on the website that PYR is closed, they are now offering online classes which is great! I love being able to continue my practice at home.

While I appreciate that this can save you money on a tight budget. I went to a class that said gentle it was anything but. Make sure title of class fits class.

Cozy space, friendly staff, inspiring mission, and pure yoga. PYR is a must-try yoga studio. It's a little hard to find as it is tucked back behind houses in an old office building. With a pay-what-you-can model, it makes yoga accessible and welcoming. I encourage you to try it out.

Tonight was my first experience at Project Yoga Richmond. It was a wonderful experience. Everything from the person who greeted me at the door, to the instructor, to the other members in attendance made this a place to return!

I went to their Saturday Salutations and it completely changed my whole mindset about yoga. Being out at the VMFA deck was the most comforting and relaxing experience. Try it out and give as much as you can

I've only visited the studio once but had an awesome experience. The class was relaxing, staff was so friendly and it was affordable. My favorite part of PYR though, is their external classes. I'm so excited for their Saturday Salutations at the VMFA to start back up. The class is held on the upper deck of the VMFA outdoor are and is led my amazing instructors. That class always makes my weekends great.

I recently started going here. Loved the classes. I was late due to horrendous traffic one day and the folks there were extremely rude about a locked door policy. Under no circumstances could I enter the class 10 minutes late, even though I am a seasoned yogi and even though traffic was out of my hands. I understand the intention to keep a quiet space but I wouldn't have disturbed the class.. doesn't seem very yogic. Very disappointed.

Wonderful, affordable yoga studio with a wide range of class offerings for both beginners and non-beginners. The focus is always on wellness and acceptance rather than "perfect performance." Classes are pay-what-you-can (there is zero pressure from the check-in volunteers). They are a nonprofit, so the proceeds go to fund yoga classes in the community for people who may not otherwise have access to yoga.

This is a great studio and the Friday flow is my favorite class currently. I have gotten into yoga in the past 6 months via Saturday Salutations, which is a great way to get started in your practice, and have been growing as a yogi primarily at PYR.
