This is my experience:
On August 12, I took my car to Grease Monkey to have the AC recharged. They told me, at no charge, that the condenser was leaking. I then brought it to Pearson's and told the service advisor, Tim Foster, about the condenser and that I have a lifetime warranty on the car. He looked it up and confirmed that it was covered and made an appointment for me to bring the car in on August 26. I left the car in on that date to have it fixed. Tim was not there, but a substitute took care of it for him. I got a call later in the day from the substitute and she told me that she had checked with Chrysler and that the work was not covered under the warranty. I came and got the car and paid a diagnostic price of $159.95 to be told the same thing that Grease Monkey had already told me, the condenser needs to be replaced.
When I got home, I called Chrysler warranty division with a number that I found in my contract. The lady at
Chrysler Warranty looked it up and said that it is covered and that she could find no record of them denying it. She gave me an authorization number that only a dealer could call and said that I should give that to the dealer. The substitute called that number and the problem was resolved, except that the part is on back order, and they are not sure when it will come in.
Mike Rowe, service manager, left a message on Wednesday saying that I should call if I was not completely satisfied. I called yesterday, Thursday, and left a message for him to call me so that I could tell him what I have written here, but I have not gotten a return call.
These are my concerns: 1. the warranty lady saying she had no record of denying the claim, 2. paying a diagnostic charge of $159.95 for what should have been a $100 deductible after the work was completed (I expect the difference to be refunded to me), and not getting a call back from the service manager.
Thank You

This was probably the best experience buying my new car. Wayne Mott was my salesman and he was a pleasure to work with.
