Title: Palm Beach Tan's Customer Service Catastrophe: Unjustified Accusations and Brazen Violations (trying to add some humor to lighten things up but this was single-handily the worst, embracing literally humiliating experience I've publicly had... I will also say that I am not a regular at Short Pump. I usually go to Midlothian Palm Beach and everyone there has been nothing but amazing. ?However, I feel the need to write this as I know that no other way i.e. calling corporate would in no way be taken seriously. Also, I would like to point out that I have probably written maybe three reviews in my life but I really took my time on this one .... Enjoy!Rating: 0%.As I surrendered to the embrace of slumber (everyone who has been in a tanning bed knows this feeling lol) within the tanning bed, tranquility quickly morphed into chaos. Abruptly awoken by a resounding knock on the door, I urgently declared my intention to rise, only to witness a shocking spectacle unfold before my disbelieving eyes. With flagrant disregard for my pleas, a police officer callously shattered the very barrier meant to ensure privacy and safety. The violation was brazen, an egregious display of authority that trampled upon my rights and invaded the sanctity of personal space. But the nightmare didn't end there. What followed was an unfathomable accusation of drug intoxication, The narrative takes an even more distressing turn as I found myself relegated to the hallway, stripped down to my underwear, a spectacle for all to see. While I reluctantly extend gratitude to the officer for sparing me complete exposure, the fact remains that my personal dignity was trampled upon, reducing me to an object of public scrutiny and embarrassment. This brazen disregard for my privacy is an affront to the very principles of customer service and compassionate human interaction. To compound the outrage, the involved officer callously abandoned the basic tenets of the law. No attempt was made to verify my identity, no legitimate grounds were presented to search of my personal belongings. This blatant abuse of power and the officer's hasty actions based on misguided assumptions trampled upon my rights, leaving me victimized and disillusioned. In summary, this incident ranks as the most harrowing and mortifying experience I have ever endured within a public setting. Palm Beach Tan's woeful failure to rectify the situation in a manner befitting basic decency, coupled with the officer's outrageous allegations and flagrant breaches of the law, highlight the alarming absence of customer welfare and accountability within their establishment. I was told to wait outside and call UBER. Once again, I was not high or inebriated in any way. Thus, I spent about $70 on Uber rides from my home in Midlothian then back to the palm beach tan parking lot in Short Pump where I was made to leave my car. To say the least, I'm trying to be cordial but I'm lividI would appreciate it if you could heed this cautionary tale and exercise utmost vigilance before considering Palm Beach Tan. The distress, humiliation, and utter violation of personal rights I endured serve as a potent reminder that your well-being and inherent dignity deserve far better than the callous treatment exhibited by this establishment.... oh the lady (out of respect I won't call her out by name) working behind the desk had lost the keys to the rooms... I heard the officer tell his fellow colleague .... this has caused me to decide to cancel my membership that I've had for over a year.Service: Tanning

I have had a membership for over a year and have never had an issue. Tonight when I came in Alex was irate and horrible to myself and other customers in the building. She refused to let anyone tan and called the “non emergency” police officers to have all of the paying customers removed from the building—all whilst her poor co-worker Mia was being as sweet as can be.Another customer and I asked for the number to corporate but Alex refused to give it to anyone. It was almost like she was under the influence of something horrible. I hope that she gets help for whatever was causing her to be so irate—my heart breaks for her.I am hopeful that the management at Palm Beach Tans looks into this so that they don’t lose any more paying customers. We are totally disappointed!

Walked in... front desk personnel was virtually useless. Only interest was getting my personal information for their system before assisting me with what services are available. Their computer scans your drivers license, but for some reason it wasn't working with mine... normally not a big deal but for her this was the end of the world. She actually had to manually enter it in (the horror). She initially tried to turn me away because of her distraction with the scanner. Anyway... their menu of beds/booths has a graduating level system with no description of the beds/booths, no data on radiation, but they sure do like to tell you the price. Not surprisingly they are more expensive than any tanning salon I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few. In the end: Poor service, attitude, and overpriced. No thanks... I left and won't be back.

I love PBT. First time at Shortpump location. I often purposely do not bring my wallet with me because the employees will harass you into buying things. My trip was no different except the employee literally seemed PISSED that I wasn't going to buy anything. Just let me tan. I'm not spending $50 on lotion - no need to get upset.

Staff is very courteous and helpful. I wanted to try spray tanning and the first one did not do well. So, I talked to the girls and they gave me good instructions and helped as much as they could. They even offered to give me a free visit because it wasn't what I expected. I didn't think that was necessary, but I appreciated they were willing to do that because I wasn't happy. Now, I went back today and told them after a week how I felt it turned out and how I thought it could be better. Wow, I'm not sure what they did differently but I love the results. Thanks ladies, I appreciate your attention and gracious customer service!!

They botched my spray tan before a wedding and argued with me about it. Would not recommend.

Everyone who works at this location is great! They're really nice and helpful! Give the Mystic Tan a try! The new booth is a lot better than the old model!
