Cheaper than "FREE" 30amp 240v J1772 EV chargers literally across the street. Charging rate is $0/kwh but parking is $3 per 24hours ($6/day cheaper than the hotel). Easy 2 min walk. You can see the hotel logo between the trees in this photo:

Upon checking in, we were required to pay parking. Why? They have their own private parking lot. We have never paid parking here before. Shame on you, Hyatt. You should really do away with this.
The rooms were clean!
The people at the desk were very kind and friendly!
This is the biggie for me.....The mattress is WAY too soft with no support. If you have any back issues, stay clear of this hotel. I usually stay at Marriott hotels because they have great mattresses! This is important to me! Here at the Hyatt, I had to try and sleep on the couch, which didn't work well either. They did try and accommodate me, thank you, but the other room has the same mattress. Hyatt, you should really do better in this department! I was supposed to stay here two nights, so we are checking out a day early and going home. Very disappointing! We were really looking forward to this weekend getaway.
Edit....I went to check out at about 6:30 am. The person at the desk was on her computer. I told her that I would wait for her to finish what she was doing. She said she was very busy and could type and listen. Not really any eye contact. She said she was taking care of everything and looked back at the breakfast area. Wow! It's not the best treatment of a person!
Also, your handicap parking is easy around the side of your building. I am not sure why it isn't in the front, which would be closer. I guess this location is just not ADA friendly?

9/29 7:15pm cannot reach hotel front desk staff from room phone. Called 5 times using outside number in cell phone for front desk. Rings 20 times then cuts you off. Called back 4 more times. Finally got someone picked up. LOL they can't tell you what channel the guide is on nor the service provider. It's gotta be a joke! Here is another shocker. Step in shower next morning the shower gel which is locked down had not had the pump mechanism released. No quality control, poor staff training. Jokes on me, I guess!

It is absurd for a hotel in this location
to have paid parking.

This hotel is not downtown, or in any kind of particularly densely populated urban area SO WHY SHOULD YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING??? I've stayed in hotels in Philly and NYC that have their own parking that isn't charged, but outskirts of Richmond, that's where space is at a real Premium.

After spending $130+ on a room we had to spend an additional $9 a night on each car for parking, which was not made transparent in our booking. When we approached the front desk about the price of parking we were told "sorry, but you have to pay it". Our room was clean and fair but there was consistent activity in the hallways. Overall, I felt like we paid luxury prices for a motel atmosphere.

Where I live, the Hyatt House is a beautiful and modern hotel. This one is the worst hotel experience ever for me.
First, the lobby is so dark and depressing. It looks like what you'd think an old insane asylum looks like. The elevator is filthy and the rug is dirty. My bed was lumpy; bathroom is so tiny and outdated; and worst part is the odor from the smokers and the chemicals that they tried to cover it up with. I didn't think smoking was allowed in hotel rooms. I was sneezing the whole time from the strong fumes. I called the desk to tell someone and she asked if I had already unpacked. I said yes I had already taken out my stuff and used the sink. That was the end of that. Lousy customer service there. There should have been an easy solution.
Luckily I brought my own instant oatmeal for breakfast because there is nothing a vegan can eat here. I didn't see any fresh fruit. The funny thing is that I spent more to stay at this hotel because I wanted to treat myself to something nicer! As it turns out, the Holiday Inn Express would have been considered luxury compared to this. I made a big mistake and should have gone there.
Don't waste your money on this place. There are plenty of hotels in the area. Also, you'll have no way of knowing how to identify this hotel from the outside because it looks like a former sanitarium and there's no name on the front. The $9 parking fee is ridiculous. I looked out my room window and saw a completely empty parking lot on the other side of the hotel. Why the charge to park in the lot??
All in all, I regret making reservations there. What happened to Hyatt House?? It's really falling apart. Take my advice. Go to any one of the other hotels in the area that probably charge less! This won't be much of a vacation unless your goal is to be depressed.

Noteworthy details: They make you pay for parking in a parking lot that they don't share with anyone. Complete scam. 10 bucks for one night. Not a ton of money but it's a load of crap.

Rooms and location was good. Their was a lack of communication with the workers at this hotel and charge for everything, including parking.

They didn’t have my room I reserved. Then they wanted to up-charge me for what I reserved. Then I was surprised to becharged $9 to park my car. We are in the suburbs. I would have stayed in downtown Richmond had I known I was going to pay for parking.

A very nice Hyatt Place. Can definitely use updating. And paying $9 to park outside open parking is ridiculous!!

Very clean, comfortable and convenient. Beds very comfy. The staff was very helpful, especially the group sales staff and those on hand to help. Highly recommend.
