It’s cool. If you like revolutionary history, it’s a must see. Definitely fork out the big bucks and pay for the tour.

So beautiful. What an honor to be able to walk the grounds of a landmark so rich in history. It was this very spot where it was decided that the fight for American freedom from Britain would be worth the sacrifice to fight back. That's patriotism! If you're offended by American pride, then you likely don't know enough about American history.

They have an elevator on the north west corner of the property's fence for disabled to get into the yard. Church was closed on the time and day that I went. :-(

We attended the reenactment and it was one of the highlights of our trip, if not the highlight. The performance was just incredible. I was completely taken back to 1775. I will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Decided to see where “GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH !” Was said while in the area. It’s a nice historic landmark and glad it’s preserved. You can get a guided tour but frankly I didn’t see the point. The place is surrounded by an old cemetery which was interesting in a morbid way. The first ever lawyer in the US is buried there who also signed the Declaration of Independence along with some other prominent people of the time and area. There’s nothing wrong with the place but not really much to see. Wouldn’t hurt to visit if you’re already in Richmond and are a patriot.

Revolutionary history comes alive where critical decisions led to a new nation. Much to see on the grounds, and the gracious and knowledgeable staff will make your visit special. Our tour guide delivered a spirited rendition of Patrick Henry's speech that led Virginia to throw its weight behind the fight for independence. "Give me liberty or give me death!"

We had a really nice experience at St. John's. It was humbling to be in such a beautifully kept piece of history and to see the future additions mixed in with the past. Hearing about John Henry's life and about his part in rousing the revolution and change was very interesting and my daughter got a kick out of taking a picture with him. I would recommend taking the time to just soak in being on the grounds where some truly great minds came together.

We love this church! I have been attending services at St. John’s Episcopal Church since 2011 when I lived in Church Hill. Two of our children were baptized at St. John’s and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere St. John’s offers to parishioners and visitors alike.

It's an incredible place. Some of the headstones are so thin and fragile. Edgar Allen Poe's mother is buried there! It was nice to pay out respects to the mother of a great poet.As someone who lives in the west coast, it's crazy getting to see OLD American history in person. I wish the gift shop was open during our visit. On the plus side, visiting on Tuesday when everything was closed was for the best. No crowds. Not a single person around. It made the visit so much more impactful I feel.

The site of Patrick Henry's speech to the Virginia legislature to convince them to start funding a militia in preparation for the Revolutionary War. "Give me liberty or give me death!" The tour guides were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to answer questions.

The tour guide was so knowledgeable about the subject without notes! She was amazing. I'm sure they all are. Too bad it was so cold that day, or we would have wandered the graveyard
