Had a reservation, presidents circle, got to the garage and there were no cars and a line of other renters waiting for cars. When they finally brought me a car, it was a Hyundai, 2 classes below what I rented, the car had a defective tire, warped rotors and 59k miles. Terrible service!!!

despite I was charged $16 for exchanging cars when it is really not my fault as the 1st car was out of alignment and not safe to drive and change was done right away, I was happy with the experience with Mr. Aimal Ayoub. I don’t know what exactly is his position but this gentleman works like a bee. You see him at the return, customer service, and out at the yard looking for cars to satisfy customers. He was an extremely professional at dealing with customers. This guy is a valuable asset and wish if there were many people like him works for Hertz.

I had an issue, a young lady at the location called Cee helped me, and she was great. Cee fixed my problem. However, the customer service agents one the phone were not as proactive as Cee. Give Cee a raise!!!

I returned my vehicle on time. They did not close out the contract and continue to charge me US$67 day. If you read through the reviews you will see this is common. Try to call them directly and the call just drops. Do no rent from them. They are scammers. Truly awful to deal with.

I had to rent a car for a few days (mid Aug 2024) and I was really impressed with the service that the agent (Will Smith) provided. He was professional and helpful after I was distressed about one of the policies of the rental company. He still did his job and I left feeling better about the situation. I have rented car at the airport before but until something changes Hertz is my provider.

I believe my headphones were stolen out of the car. Went back five minutes after dropping the car and they were gone. I had used them for 7 hours while driving to the location. Checked everything even the trash just to be sure I wasn’t accusing anyone. Tried calling the location and am not able to get in touch with anyone. Employees should be honest.

The worst experience I've had renting a car ever. I wasn't able to do the online check in, so I waited 2 hours in line until I finally got my car. There were only 8 people ahead of me and it still took 2 hours. By the time I got the keys, there was about 50 people waiting behind me. Only 1 person was available to help at the counter and it looked as if they were low on cars to give out. Whoever is in charge of organizing this particular location needs to do a wayyy better job because what went on today was awful and unexcusable. You should treat your customers better than this. I have rented through Hertz before at other locations, so I understand that there might just be a problem with this one, as I have had better customer service elsewhere. But today's experience made me not want to rent through Hertz at all.
To management: Please do not follow up with an "I'm sorry" response, just take some action and do better.

I rented a car from Hertz in order to travel to my vacation house in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, which could only be accessed via a 7 mile stretch of beach, and so I specifically asked for a 4 wheel drive when I made the booking.
However, when I tried to drive a across the beach, I got stuck, and had to be towed back to the road. The tow company told me that my car was only a 2 wheel drive, and not at all suitable for the Outer Banks beaches. Consequently, I had to pay for my car to be towed back to the main road. Additionally, I had to pay for a 4 wheel drive taxi to take me and my family to my home, and also to take us back to my car at the end of the vacation. The total cost of this was $985.

We were supposed to get our car last night but they decided to close early. We had to pay $155 for a hotel since we were stuck. Went to go get car in the morning and we waited 45 minutes in line. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! We want a refund for the hotel night since this was not our fay, whoever was working there decided to leave early!!

If I could leave a zero star I wouldn’t they do not even pick up or answer phone. The time frame on when you get deposit is all wrong. Worst rental company!!

I had a terrible experience with this location. I returned the car a day early, hoping to expedite the return of my security deposit, but it turns out they never closed out my account. This has caused a major inconvenience, and when I tried to call their office for assistance, the call would simply disconnect as if their phone lines were turned off. Completely unprofessional and frustrating. Avoid this service if you value your time and money.

By far my worst experience renting a vehicle. I returned the rental with a FULL TANK and this scamming agency still charged me 133 in fuel service charges. Good luck trying to reach someone here to speak to about disputing their up charges. The women at the desk were also extremely rude when picking up the car and kept forgetting that I paid to rent child car seats. So they just kept forgetting to give me the car seats I rented through out the course of an hour while I had to keep reminding them what I was waiting for. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE AND IF YOU MUST RENT A CAR HERE, ASK FOR A RECEIPT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. The man said I was good to go and would get an email with the receipt. That’s when I realized they scammed me and up charged me 130+ dollars when the car was returned with a full tank. I travel to Richmond monthly and will never ever rent a car from this place. Spare yourself the time and headache please. Adding receipts here so you all can see the scamming business this place is
