Making an online furniture purchase was a first for me. The initial salesperson I texted with ghosted me. However, the 2nd one, James, was great. He answered all my questions and followed through. I was given a projected delivery date, since my purchase is on backorder.

Was hesitant about buying a new bed. Had made a couple of bad bed purchases in the past. My husband had purchased a bed from Haynes many years ago. So. We decided it was time to go back to Haynes. As we walked in. We were greeted by Don. He listened as we explained our past experiences. He also listened as we told him what we were looking for. He showed us beds that he thought would be right for us. We did decide on the Aireloom. Granted. We still have 10 days before our bed comes but if that bed turns out as well as our service did. We are gonna be two very happy people. Thank you Don Parker for a very pleasant and smooth purchase today. If we need anything else. We will come to Haynes.

There was not consistent communication. We were told there was a restock fee of $199 for the mattress we planned to return, but not told that it wouldn’t be delivered until we had a zero account balance. We were texted it would be delivered one Friday and no communication about delivery time. I called and was told it would t be delivered until we paid $199 upfront. Too much having to check and double check on our order.

On April 6th I drove almost two hours to the W Broad Street location in Richmond, VA. I selected a sectional sofa and paid in full. I was given a delivery date of May 15th. After not receiving a phone call the day before the delivery date and no one showing up for delivery, I contacted Haynes and was told that my salesperson no longer worked there and did not put in a delivery date for the furniture. I was told that delivery to my area takes place once per month which would make the delivery date June 15th. I made it clear that this was unacceptable and poor business. I had someone stay at my home for the expected delivery and also paid a delivery fee. I held up my end but Haynes did not deliver. I was told that if I want the sofa sooner, I can pay an outside delivery company $500 and be reimbursed the $500 after I pay. Why should I have to pay anything? I paid a delivery fee when I purchased the furniture!! I was also told that the outside delivery company would contact me to set up a date for delivery and to date, I haven’t heard a thing from anyone!! I also had a party planned at my home based on when I expected to get my furniture. This is so disappointing because I’ve shopped Haynes before in Hampton, VA and had no problems at all with delivery. I’m thinking about cancelling the order and just looking for another sofa from another store. This is such poor customer service and I don’t see anyone trying to make it right. Unbelievable!!! I’m so disappointed in Haynes.Updated review: What’s the purpose of writing a review when Haynes provides the same general response to all reviews? Ridiculous!! It shows me that they don’t value their customers. To date, I still have no furniture and no updates on when I can expect to receive it. This is truly disappointing because Haynes is where I prefer to shop for furniture but I may have to find another place with better customer service. At this point, I think I’ll cancel my order and look for something else. Unbelievable!!

Sales Consultant, James was extremely helpful in helping me find the dining room table I have been looking for and walked me through the delivery process. The associates in the customer service were very helpful with my initial order and the updates to the order.
