Friendliness & Warmth & LoveNot something you would find at this store. I just moved here from Atlanta and I wanted to find an old fashioned health food store like the one I frequent in Atlanta. They kinda met that old fashion part but the friendliness just doesn’t exist. Everyone seems irritated. LOL…even when I was familiarizing myself with the deli…I thought this is going to be my Jam…until I saw the prep guy eating his chicken leg while I was standing there in awe.. He became irritated at me for being irritated at what I saw.But on the other hand if you can get pass all the I don’t want to bother with customers who want to work on their own personal journey to good health and well being through food and nutrition. It’s a pretty nice grocery store.

What a pleasure to go shopping here. The staff is never too busy to assist with helping you find something. The customers are also very knowledgeable and willing to offer advice. I love the healthy food choices and the wide variety of locally made items.

Recently moved into the area and have been here 2 or 3 times to browse and get a few things. I want to like this store but it’s hard to when the prices are outrageous. They have a great selection of foods that appear to be quality, I just wish you could get quality affordably these days but you can’t. Also the few times I have made purchases, the cashiers seemed pretty uninterested and annoyed, not very welcoming. Makes me think they aren’t being paid well, which is interesting considering the prices.

I’ve been trying to decide whether or not to leave this review. I have loved Good Foods grocery since I moved here in 2017. I’ve always just made small purchases however a few weeks ago I decided to do my big grocery shopping there. I enjoyed my shopping experience. One thing I noticed is that there was no music playing in the store. It was super quiet. No atmosphere. Now here comes the part that is still bothering me. When it came time to check out, an employee had to open a register. She looked to be in her mid-20s to early 30s. Slightly heavyset. Brown hair. She was visibly annoyed. She would not even smile at me. The whole time we were checking out she was sort of just tossing my items Into my bags and boxes. (Ex: tossing a Marinara jar on top of bread). To be frank about it she was extremely rude. I spent over $300 And left feeling awkward. She was obviously annoyed with me for making such a large purchase. She would not even crack a smile throughout the entire transaction, never said thank you..nothing. The whole thing just made me feel weird, and I probably will not go back there again to make any large purchases. Their loss.

What a gem! This store is such a great spot. They have tons of groceries, local treats, a hot bar, salad bar, and very kind folks who work there. Definitely recommend checking this place out, I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Great selection of products but could not enjoy my first visit to this store due to my friend and I being racially profiled and not so covertly followed around the store by a less than stealthy stocker boy. I only wish the cashier staff was that attentive. Will never return and I wouldn’t recommend any POC to either. There’s a lovely Trader Joe’s down the street instead.

Small store, but carries most of the basics with a natural slant. Vitamins occupy a lot of shelf space and there is a small space for prepared food, so room for actual groceries is even more limited. Quality of fresh fruits and vegetables is variable, but the bulk section is great; I stop in once every several weeks just to stock up. Bulk has both organic and the other kind. Consistent stocking is variable, so you may not always walk out with what you intended to buy.

I don't live in the area, but whenever I visit Richmond, I know the gluten-free options are endless. I wanted to visit a store that I've seen some other gf creators post. I had in mind two particular items: the lemon tate cookies and the Schar puff pastry. I found both and more! I felt so happy in the store I was dancing. The employees are very kind and nice. I bought about 5 items and it was about $30 which was to be expected. I'd love to be able to come back and buy some more items that I can't find in stores near me.

I come here a few times and what I can say is their food is very good plus their smoothies however the front cashier especially the old lady with short hair who wears hats has a very nasty attitude and it seems like she hates her job.
