I usually go to this Food Lion. They are larger and have more of a variety. They also have reasonably priced cut flowers.

I am so glad that I switched from our local neighborhood Walmart to Food Lion. Food Lion has real people to check you out. Sometimes there are four cashiers working. And I never have to wait. This is so different from my local Walmart experience. And the staff at Food Lion are very friendly. It really makes a difference.

Ugly produce has improved some. But unjust markup and overcharging on Every Item in the store. Why?? I don't know who decides this.Fatty meats.not fresh & tougher cuts overpriced. Lines too long and not enuff cashiers open especially starting around 4pm when folks getting off work. Managers see it's busy and telling them close and take a break. Which should be earlier. Bring your pajamas. Many standing doing nothing. Carts outside They need smaller carts like Irongate Food Lion which is a better and more efficient store You get out quickly.with better produce and meats.I recommend it over Meadowdale. Irongate markups aren't as noticable. It may just be the markup manager trying to look good at Meadowdale; but it's become an unreasonable rip off. Walmart's up the street at Meadowbrook and Kroger's not too far away. People parking anywhere they want, in handicap, fire.zones, blocking store doors, you can't even get out the store with your cart for them. You have to swing way out for a car, speeding. Corporate should call police chief to pass out tickets because their are plenty parking spaces. People get ignorant and don't care about anyone but themselves. So tickets will bring back order or at least police presence becuz the entire mall is guilty. You have to ask Chesterfield for some assistance things are out of control plus officers can meet their monthly quotas right in that lot. Folks will do better, if stores request help. Ignoring it is why it is this bad. All needed is a police car riding through starting at 3:30 pm.

This place is very nice, they only have a problem, they have a lady working in the ham by the pound area who yells at people and is not friendly at all, she is a bitter lady, that happened to me on Thanksgiving Day.
