I have been subscribing to this CSA for a couple years now. The variety is always great and so fresh. Amina sends out a "what's in the share" email each week, usually with recipe ideas which are so helpful, especially for the items we are less familiar with. If anything is expected to have a shorter shelf life, they suggest items which should be used within a few days. Another example how staff goes above and beyond: we just came home with a newborn. Despite best laid plans, we completely forgot to pick up our share this week. I called the next day and spoke with Mark, who promptly asked for my address and dropped a full produce share at my doorstep, with a few extra items thrown in! What wonderful members of the community. We feel so supported and we love supporting the local farms and economy, not to mention knowing where our food comes from!

It's no joke, we constantly try to get people to join this CSA. Has it become a personality trait? ...maybe. But whatever, y'all! We love the fresh produce, meat, flowers, and local goods at Farm to Family! Especially the chocolate covered peanuts; good GRAVY they are amazing. The weekly shares are plentiful and varied regardless of the season. You can basically get any accompaniment you need in the market, too.

Although I've never been to Farm To Family, sustainable farming will be huge and businesses like this will also blossom during times as these; pandemics keep the population at home. If you are looking for a CSA this is the place to join. Super fresh produce, meats without all the steroids, va flowers, fruits, berries, and other local goods. The butter they sell is addicting. Ditch the kerigold and get in on their tubs!

The produce is beautiful and delicious. Everyone is so nice and passionate about food and what they do here. I was hesitant to buy shares at first as the veggies consisted of things I don’t usually use or hadn’t tried before. (Rutabaga and Mustard greens anyone). I have to say roasted Rutabaga is my new favorite and mustard greens are the new kale. I love googling recipes and trying new things in creative ways. Also everyone is so nice at the farm bus! Have I mentioned how kind everyone is and how beautiful the produce is? Do yourself a favor and join.
