Tried to get a state inspection here, they rejected my car and they told me my lower arm assemblies needed replacing, exactly like someone else who reviewed here, they came up with $1300 worth of repairs for a car that nothing was wrong with. I took it to my regular place and they inspected it and it passed without any issues. Where I normally go is usually pretty busy so I thought I might be able to get a quick inspection done closer to my house. Won't make that mistake again, this place is awful. Beware.

Was my first time to the shop. Got an oil change and asked them to check everything out. They made some recommendations. I decided to repair my truck with them. It handles and ride like new! They will be my guys from now on! Kaitlyn's customer service was over the top, extremely knowledgeable!

Had an issue with one of my tires and had to do a last second walk in, place seemed busy and I was about to just head out, but a helpful member of the staff saw me and said he recognized my voice from my previous phone call. He walked me up to the mechanics, explained the situation, and hooked me up. Shout out to Matt.

Went to get an inspection and was told I need to replace my lower control arm assemblies. Took the vehicle to another place to get a second opinion. Nothing was wrong with the car and passed inspection with no issue. Also tried to tell me my window tint wouldn't pass as well. Va State Inspection has nothing to do with window tint. Nothing but a scam.

I wanted to find a local shop close to me, that I trusted to be my go to for maintenance, repairs and state inspections. I had a previous positive experience here. This time I paid > $3,500 for brake work and new tires. I will say that I was not charged for an oil change and various coupns were applied. When I picked up my car, the dashboard TPMS light was blinking and my freshly detailed car had a disassembled door board piece on the driver’s side, with a filthy floor mat and door panel. Not sure why anyone was in the backseat but there were several black footprints on the carpet. All of the wheels were covered in black, greasy smudges, and worse, they are scratched and scraped. There was not one scratch on them when I dropped my car off. There is a small ding/dent on my trunk that was not there. There were black smudged hand prints all over the exterior of my car. They continued to refer to me as “Paul” in all of their texts, after asking them to correct it to my name, Pam.I feel extremely disrespected and angry. No matter the amount that someone pays for mechanical work and the condition of their car, it should be treated with respect and should have paper floor mats put down to protect the carpet/mats. Wheels should not be damaged and cars should never be dinged or dented. Greasy smudges should be wiped down. The Service Manager agreed to have my car detailed but has been difficult to get in touch with to schedule it. She has not agreed to have my wheels repaired but said she will talk to the VP once the wheels are cleaned and the damage can be viewed more easily. I guess I can live with the small ding but I feel like this is going tot be an ongoing battle; I cannot live with the wheels. She said the TPMS light was off when it was driven out of the work area and I doubt this is true. Frankly, I do not trust this shop now. This has been a huge inconvenience and source of stress and it's not over yet...

WARNING! My husband and I have been going to Village Exxon for 10+ years. We dropped our truck off for an oil change and on our way to pick it up, we ended up driving behind OUR TRUCK with the bed filled with tires and rims (which were not ours). Village Exxon ran an errand with our truck that was completely unauthorized and never asked for our permission. No one at the shop was able to tell us why they thought this was okay or any details on the ‘errand’. We were completely shocked as we have always trusted Village Exxon and had great experiences, but with the new management/ownership-DO NOT GO HERE. Who knows what other errands they are running when you leave your car here. We will never trust them or give them our business again. I would give negative stars if it was an option.

They inspected my car and recommended replacing my shock absorbers to pass inspection. I took the vehicle somewhere else and they said everything was fine. I saved myself $750.00 and will not be coming back.

I brought my car here to get my oxygen sensor put in and they found that my front brakes were needing to be replaced and my rotors were warped but that didn’t have to be do but I got my front brakes and rotors replaced because the steering wheel would shake when braking which was annoying but after they fixed it my car rode great. I love it here and will continue to bring it here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ?Services: Auto exhaust system repair

The customer service is great. We always feel we're getting a straight answer and not being over sold on parts and service. Very happy we found them.

I have gone here twice because it is the only place within walking distance of me. Both times I’ve been told I need expensive repairs (to the tune of $620) that have been found to be unnecessary at other shops.I just had my car inspected there. They replaced my rear break pads for approx $200 (I have never paid that much before) and then passed inspection. Unfortunately for me they also left off caliper bolts so my car began making a loud clunking when driving over bumps- this happened almost as soon as I got it back from them.I texted the number from which they had been texting me because they did not answer my calls (3 of them & no voicemail either.!!) and guess what no response to any of my communications.I had to go to another shop because I did not trust Village enough to go back. I am glad I did because they fixed it without charging me.I assume from my experience leaving parts off is something Village does on purpose to get people to come back and spend more money with them.I’ve never had such a nightmarish experience with an auto shop. IF YOU’RE READING THIS GO ELSEWHERE & save your money and time.It hardly seems important after they did such a horrible job with the actual car but they were also kind of rude & very begrudgingly helpful when I dropped it off.Service: General repairs & maintenance

BEWARE! Friendly? Yes! Local? Yes! Honest? No!I'm an older, single, female who took a late model car for inspection and was told I urgently needed brakes. Man said they'd pass it but not to delay, they are worn and unsafe and it would not pass next year.I took it to a known legitimate auto shop who said NO YOU DO NO NEED BRAKES and what you have is not unsafe.Village Exxon texted me, sent all kinds of friendly reminders to get my brakes done to be safe but independent inspection reveals they are fine so I know for a fact they are trying to scam me into unnecessary work.DON'T LET FRIENDLY. LOCAL, HOMEY PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I cannot recommend village Exxon enough. From the personable staff to the knowledgeable mechanics. They are by far superior to the rest! I have been doing business with them for about 10 years and they have been nothing but honest and fair, and have saved me tons of money, unlike other auto shops that charge for unnecessary repairs.
