I recently switched over to Essex Bank in Bon Air hoping for a new way of banking. This "new" bank is archaic. I just got a chip card. You cannot deposit checks or cash at the ATM, and they will take every opportunity to charge you for small items no matter what the situation. I went to close my account, putting everything on hold so that the final payments could go through. Well, the didn't. THEN, the charged me a total of $70 in fees. I had to PAY to close my checking account and they didn't even care. They will nickel and dime you until you are red in the face. STAY CLEAR! JUST A WARNING!
