We have been with Erie for over 15 years and I have recommended them many times, but I never had to deal with the local office. As other reviews have said, GOOD LUCK getting a response from your Claims officer. Our Dec 2022 incident is not handled (it's March 2023). It's not complicated, and we've sent everything in an organized fashion several times. We are apparently powerless to do anything other than leave a Google review. It really, really sucks. The team is either over-worked, under-trained, or they under-care. Perhaps a hybrid, but it's unacceptable.UPDATE - Erie replied (see it below), so I did what they said and contacted them immediately. It's 2 months later and they never acknowledged the email. Lol.

The worst agents and customer service hands down. Been 3 days and I'm still waiting for the agent to call me back. Agent couldn't talk long because they needed to go to a dentist appointment, promised would call me back. I'm shocked eerie is still in business! Poor poor service

If I could leave no stars I would. It is completely ridiculous at how they deal with their customers. Matt and John will receive messages and calls and will not respond!!!! Avoid at all cost. Do not do your business with this company.

The other party involved was covered by Erie. I worked with Elizabeth H and Rich C from Richmond office for the resolution. The incident was understood by them, and they made sure it was a speedy resolution. All the interactions were polite and courteous. Thats how Insurance companies should work.

Erie is the absolute worst. They accused me of ripping off the shingles with my bare hands because they didn't want to pay for the roof repair. The only reason they finally paid is because I would have taken them to small claims. STAY AWAY!!!

I agree with the one other previous review -absolute worst ever. We have been trying to get reimbursement for an accident that happened in April (not my fault.) Erie accepted liability for the accident in May and now we are halfway through July, and I've had to pay interest on the out-of-pockets expenses for 3 months now. AVOID Erie (in VA at least) at ALL costs.

Jillian Mixell and Felicia Johnson rude and unprofessional. They are Avoiding paying out a claim. Our automobile is over 20 years old and refuses to pay out to repair. Or to total it .If I could give them 0 stars I would do so. Crooks!

This is a terrible company. They won’t pay a claim for a dead tree that fell on our home. Lynette Velasquez is a terrible agent. She said the tree wasn’t dead. It had been dead for years. She wasn’t able to get ahold of the insured person for over a week. Then claimed the tree wasn’t dead and won’t pay. Don’t use this company.

Terrible service from their customer service department and regional office. No return calls from adjuster and calls into office for assistance end with caller being placed on hold indefinitely.Ended up having my insurance company handle the whole affair and dealing with them.
