I can't comment on the repair work they do, I just wanted to echo other reviews that communicattion and lack of professionalism is very much a problem here. I feel like they rush through jobs when no actual repairs are being done. I had a simple diagnostic, and imo it was overpriced, but that's not even my real problem.
If I'm gonna pay for a diagnostic I should get a thorough explanation of what was done. There should be a conversation. All I got about a sentence long explanation, and had to hear everything second hand. If I didn't ask my own questions i would have paid that money for basically nothing.
Sometimes it's nice to be able to actually hear from the mechanic who worked/looked at your car. I don't mind mechanics who aren't in a good mood. I just want straight answers especially for almost 200 dollars. I just don't feel they pay good attention to cars they aren't working on, and really need to learn how to talk to people.

This shop was recommended to me. I was able to get my state inspection complete in one day. I appreciated the front desk‘s communication through their text number where they provided details on repairs needed with an accurate estimate of costs.

I have never met the owner until today, she was honestly lacks customer service and was very snappy. I figured it was because of tow trucks coming down the streets&towing cars when I arrived. I asked where I could park my car in their already full parking lot- she was snappy and irritable. I dropped my car at 12:30pm& got a call at 4 pm that my tire wont come in until 5pm the next day. it took 4 hrs for her to order a tire. then when I arrived to ask what was happening, she got snappy again and offered for me to just take my car back. I declined and she told me that i wont have my car back till 5pm tomorrow- I know that it doesnt take that long to replace a tire....Im sadly not coming back to this shop. Years of coming here and once meeting the owner was enough to pity the workers and to never want to come back. WOW.

I had a screw in one of my tires on a day I was traveling and they managed to plug the tire for me super last minute! They’ve always treated me well and have taken great care of my vehicle!

Better than a pretty pink pony!
Being the dumb-dumb-ding-dong that I am, I was driving around RVA's Museum District close to 5PM last Thursday afternoon (7July22) when I suddenly noticed that ** ********** ******* *** *******. In a nervous panic, I drove to Cutshaw Automotive (a.k.a., C.A.) and excitedly asked for help. With professional calm and a demeanor cooler than the otherside of the pillow, C.A. figuratively held my hand, telling me everything would be okay. And it was! C.A. let me drop-off my car & my key later that night, and by the time I woke up the next morning- the work was done. And by the time my first cup of coffee was ready, I had already paid my bill on-line. And by the time my dog was ready to take a pee and a poop on his daily walk, I had already picked up my car from C.A. and was merrily on my way. It could not have been any easier. Thank you! (Of course, despite my wanting one, expecting to receive a pretty pink pony may be one expectation too much.)

Dropped my car off for an inspection this morning and they finished faster than I thought they would (by 1p). However, their customer service was off putting. I felt rushed and like a nuisance any time I asked simple questions before and after the inspection. While I’m sure they do great work, I probably wouldn’t come back.
