The lab is wonderful. I have had bad experiences having my blood drawn everywhere but at this lab.

Would not recommend. As a current patient of the practice, I called to request an ER follow up appointment (the ER advised that I be seen today for a fever and severe abdominal pain) and was first told they couldn’t see me because my doctor had left the group since my last appointment. When I pressed because that is *not* a legally sound policy, I was told they would “try to get me in” and given the earliest available appointment - next week (5 days out). This is how ER follow up appointments are handled at this practice, which is a tremendous failure in patient care.

This place is awful! Not only have they messed up billing the incorrect insurance 3+ times but the staff is extremely rude. Octavia the Practice Manager is very unprofessional. She hung up on me 3 times without ever taking the time to listen to my concerns. They refused to refill my blood pressure meds because they want another co pay to screw up the billing on. Lack of care is huge concern with this place as well.

Today I visited PA Amy Hull for the first time, she's a delight, very knowledgeable and a good listener, I definitely would recommend her✋️?

Last 3 visits, total waste of time. Never speak to a Dr. anymore. Only good person, Andrew Shifflett, no longer there. They will take your money, refer you elsewhere...

I saw two healthcare workers here yesterday that I had never met before (Craig and Dr. Lauren Lyles) and both were absolutely wonderful. Dr. Lyles listened to everything I had to say and was very understanding and informative! Craig was so kind and left a very positive impression on me :)

Writing this review for my boyfriend who went in for his appointment and had a great experience with the healthcare workers (doctors, nurses), although, he overheard the employees at the front desk making fun of his last name. I feel that somewhere like a doctors office that is treating you should be more professional than this and should makes their patients feel safe. Making fun of a patients last name is very uncalled for. I hope that whoever manages these employees can ensure that they prioritize patients feeling safe and comfortable at their doctors office.

I have been seeing Andrew Shiflett for the past several years and am more than happy with the care I have received. He takes the time to explain, listen and build a rapport. He genuinely cares about his patients and I recommend him very highly.

I had a visit to the ER on December 16, 2022. I scheduled an appointment as a new patient with Dr. Richardson that same day on December 16, for January 19. That was the closest date they had available. Of course, I had to call off work. When I got there 30 minutes before my appointment, the receptionist informed me that Dr. Richardson had called out sick. NO ONE contacted me to inform me. So I rescheduled with the receptionist for today, January 30th. The SAME thing happened to me this morning. Dr Richardson called out sick & I wasn’t informed. They then told me the next availability isn’t until APRIL. Extremely unprofessional & I had an intense breakdown right there in the office. It shouldn’t be that hard to find care. What kind of doctor cancels on the same new patient twice? & then has no availability for the next two months? Is my well-being not important?

One fax machine for 9 providers. This makes sending documents extremely difficult. The fax machine NEVER answers and they don't receive documents through email. You must physically make a trip just to give your insurance information. Antiquated and ridiculous.

As a new patient of Dr. Lauren Carter’s I was of course anxious getting started w a new team. However, I am so impressed with the concierge/front desk team, to the nurse, and finally Dr. Carter. I would highly recommend this team of providers. Glad I took the advice of 2 of my girlfriends to come to this practice for health and care.

I have been a patient here for 10+ years. I know times are busy and I can be patient but today was the worst . I waited for 4 hours today. First they forgot about me waiting for my appointment . Then they forgot to call my prescription into the pharmacy. When I tried to call to inquire about the script, I was placed on hold for 30 mins and no one ever answered. I had to drive back to the office and request a written script. This is no way to treat patients. Poor patient care and follow through; especially when people don’t feel well. l will be switching practices for my GP care and looking elsewhere.

Dr Stein is my primary, but I've seen several other doctors here and at their extended care facility. All of the doctors and nurses that I've worked with have been very polite and knowledgeable. Dr Stein seems always on top of the most recent treatment options. The nurses are always very friendly and helpful and promptly return calls or messages. The reception staff is also kind and responsive. I'm not sure where the negative experiences come from, but I've rarely had a negative experience.

The staff and docs here are excellent. My family and I have been patients here for over 20 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. They also have great referrals that have always worked well with my primary care doc. Keep up the great work!

Dr. Carter, hands down, has the best chairside manner of any doctor I've seen. She was kind, encouraging, and honest without being condescending or judgemental. I've been looking for a PCP I trust in the Richmond area for 6 years, and Dr. Carter is it.
