Took this clock, 123 years old, into the Clock Shop of Richmond, LTD, today. I had spent over $1200 elsewhere two years ago getting it repaired and operational and then messed up setting it up. Frankly, I was too embarrassed to go back to the previous repair guy (he had been pretty snooty and expensive too). The folks at the Richmond Clock Shop were awesome. The technician fixed it while I was standing there, taught me a lot about my clock, and didn’t charge me anything! I’d have been happy to pay whatever reasonable price she asked, but she just asked me to come back if I had other clock repair needs. Absolutely will! She could not have been nicer and didn’t try to embarrass me for not knowing everything there is to know about my family’s time piece. If you have a clock problem, do yourself a favor and check these folks out. I could not have been more surprised and pleased with their service.

Dear The Clock Shop,A few months ago you serviced a German chiming clock that my parents bought in the 50's. I smile when I hear that lovely sound that been silent for so long. Thank you, Betty from Henrico

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, fixed my family's heirloom grandfather clock at a very reasonable price, and showed me how to put it all back together at home and perform basic maintenance. If your anniversary clock no longer ticks or your grandfather's old watch sits idle in a drawer, these are the people to fix the timepieces you most care about. But really, I just want to go back and listen to the soothing madness of hundreds of ticking clocks.

What a wonderful place - great customer service !! I brought in my mothers old coo coo clock - has not worked since I was 8 and I am 59 now - was in a box in the attic and I decided to fix for my daughter. hearing that coocoo at 3 am brought b ack so many happy memories - the gentleman that was there when I picked up took so much time showing me how to do everything - I am so very grateful - not used to that much customer service these days. He even took to my car for me !! I highly recommend this store for clock repairs or if your looking for an old clock the store is filled and prices seem reasonable.

Took my antique Grandmother clock to them as it had stopped running. They replaced the entire mechanism. Picked it up about 4 months later, they packed it in a box and sent it home with me. Got home and installed everything very carefully and it would not run at all!!! I tried everything I could think of. Called them and was told once it left the shop it was on me and if I lived within 30 minutes of them they would come out for $250!!! I live over an hour away....so basically $600 down the drain plus two trips. Called Gold N Times in Stafford and he came out (about an hour and a half drive for him), adjusted everything including correctly aligning the chimes. Set the clock and waited for 30 minutes to make sure the clock kept running and the chimes worked. All for less than half what the Richmond store cost me....My advice, Call Gold N Times!

Stopped by to have the battery replaced on my everyday watch -- they promptly serviced it for $15 and it took about 5 minutes. Friendly employees and tons of grandfather and other style clocks all over the shop. Would recommend. The gentleman who is the watchmaker is only there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 2pm.

The employees were very helpful and considerate. You cannot walk away and say, "They did not know what they were doing." The employees know clocks. Thank you.

Disappointing experience. Seven months after dropping a clock off for repair I had to contact this business for a status. They apologized and told me someone would follow up with me before the end of the day. That was a month ago and I never heard from anyone. I stopped in today and was told there had been no progress because they were waiting on parts (eight months later). My concerns were met with sarcasm and I was surprised by the attitude shown so I will not be doing business with this shop in the future. Be warned, although they may say it can take up to six months for a repair, it may be more like a year.

They are friendly and answer any questions you may have. They have also repaired several of my clocks that I had previously through the years
