I have been going to Dr. Hoffman since 1994. Yes 1994 and I think he is great. When I changed my insurance a few years ago he wasn't on their list yes I fought to get him on there and after a year they did get him on my Insurance. Trying to get a new Doctor I like was horrible. It was hard finding someone I trusted. Dr. Hoffman is very compassionate and concerned about you as a person. I do no us old people like him, he speak our language.

I don’t know if it’s Bon Secours in general or the greedy doctors at Chesterfield Family Medical but they seem to be practicing more trickery than medicine.I went in for a routine, 100% covered physical and ended up with a bill for an office visit. I specifically told the doctor I only wanted to talk about the physical so I wouldn’t get charged. She asked what medication I was talking, and thinking she needed that info for the physical I answered. What she really was doing is tricking me to tell her that I took an occasional acid reflux pill. Then I received a bill saying that she advised me on a gastro situation. Really?? So I guess now you can’t even answer questions without getting charged. Unbelievable. Doctors care more about their money than the patients.

I arrived at 10:30 appointment was at 11:00. It’s now 11:50 and I still haven’t been seen . Extremely lengthy appointment. Don’t make any after plans .

The front desk staff is incredibly rude. It's the heavy set, brown skin girl with glasses. I stood there and had to ask to be helped for her to stop talking to her coworker. Instead of her talking about her about how she doesn't speak to her granddaughter I wish she could have greeted me and helped me check in for my appointment. Then when I asked "hi can I get some help" she rolled her eyes and decided to give more attitude. This practice has gone down the drain the past few years but she definitely is not a face someone needs to deal with early in the morning. The fact that she has the nerve to get an attitude with me stopping her conversation with her coworker....all I did was ask for help as I thought I was supposed to.

There are no issues with the doctor's and staff here; however I do have an issue with a very sick relative calling this morning and told there were no sick appointments until June 15th. It is May 24th. Why have a PCP? So . . . now people who can't afford the 50.00 copay at urgent care have no other choice. Totally unacceptable.

I genuinely don’t understand why everyone is giving this facility such a poor rating. I came in today as a new patient and my experience as someone that is on the kick of wanting to monitor their health was 10/10. The front staff, phlebotomist, nurses, and the physician, Dr. Hearst, were all super friendly and made me feel welcomed. I did not once feel like I was judged or treated disrespectfully.

I would leave zero stars if I could, the communication with the front desk is horrible. Everyone has an attitude. The turn around with the doctors is unreal, you barely get to ever see the same doctor twice, they’re gone before they get to know you.The front desk and nurses all have very passive aggressive attitudes as if anything you may need is bothering them. I wish I looked at the reviews sooner because they are all accurate and if you notice they all state the same thing about how terrible this place is.

I trust my doctor. I have been with her for some time. She was relocated to this office. The front office staff are not friendly and they are not helpful to patients. The male staff in particular is rude and disrespectful. Doctor needs another office.

Save yourself time and frustration and just find a place where medical professionals actually want to help and care for their patients. Here all you will get is:Rude receptionist staff. Uncaring nurse practitioners. Waiting almost a week for simple test results. Seriously you are much better off going to an urgent care.

The girls in the front desk are nasty with passive aggressive attitudes. They don't want to work or be helpful and have no compassion to patients. It's tough when your worried and scared trying to find out if you have cancer or not and you have to deal with the trash they keep as front staff. When you are concerned about your health and don't have compassion from the very people who are handling your encounters with the doctor, it makes the situation that much worse; they don't belong in the medical field. If you Google reviews, you will see the same thing being repeated from former patients. I agree with other reviews, this place should be shut down and I wouldn't bring my pets here either. As for the doctors, if you see the same doctor twice you are lucky that's how high their turn around is, I don't blame the doctors for leaving who wants these girls under their belt? It just makes the best doctors look bad... Also, if you are ever in a situation that you urgently need to see a doctor, these girl DO NOT CARE, they will only tell you about the next appointment WEEKS AWAY- you will end up in the Emergency Room each and every time. If you are looking to make a relationship with a doctor and you want a team behind them who has compassion, this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. I wish I read the reviews sooner!

Dr. James Anderson is fantastic and I consider him to be the best doctor in Chesterfield. I have had him as my primary care doctor for many years and know that he is trustworthy, patient, kind and has your best interest at heart.
