I had a radiator hose that ripped and my car started smoking while I was in Short Pump, Va. Luckily, I was able to pull into a nearby parking lot. I was an hour and a half from home and I called a few local parts stores. The people at the Car Quest on West Broad Street in Short Pump came to my car, checked to see what parts were needed, went back to the store, and came back with the part. Alan (spelling?) went out of his way to help me, by putting the part on the car for me and explaining what he did and why. This was not something that the company normally does, to my knowledge, but it was so kind. It was myself and two other young ladies (daughter and granddaughter), we were in a though situation being so far from home, but Alan and the people of Car Quest really did a good deed and went out of their way to help! I offered to pay him for fixing it right there, but he refused to take any money and I was only charged for the part. I wish I could do something to show my appreciation to Alan, so I thought writing a review would be a good idea. Thank you Alan and the managers/workers at CarQuest in Short Pump. You good deed and it did not go unnoticed! I will certainly pass it on!

Needed to find replacement lug nuts for my 2011 Ford F150. Went to three different auto parts dealers to try to find the "Right" lug nuts. Two could order them. One salesperson didn't know if what they had would work. I should have come here first. This store has sufficient stock of most everything and can usually get what you need by the next morning.

Tried to return an item bought from the mechanicsville location. I wanted to return it because it had already been opened. I had to wait for 15 minutes and was told that this wouldn’t be possible because it would hurt this stores profits. Huh, it was an inconvenience for a 17 dollar item

The staff was friendly and they were able to give me the parts I ordered online promptly when I gave them my name. The issue that I have is that not one single employee was wearing a face mask. Why bother putting up all the signs about Covid-19 and putting up barriers to limit how close you can get to the counter but not wear a mask? Otherwise I would have rated them 5 star.

I needed both front brake caliper brackets and every other parts stores of the had 1 of the 2 and had to order the other 1 which wasn't going be available for a week. So I took a chance and went here and Scott & staff went out of there way, shedding blood even, to get me both brackets on the spot! This is an auto parts SHOP, not an auto parts store!
