Selection was mediocre and the prices seemed a little out of touch.

The pay out for the items you bring to sell are the lowest I have seen. What method that they use is guess work at best. They pay you pennies in cash but lots more on credit to get you to come back. There's no way that they can know what the value of the items you bring in unless they check what similar items have sold there or elsewhere. Only deal with them if you just want to get rid of stuff rather than take to Goodwill

They tag the shirts with plastic tags right through the collar in the back. So almost every shirt has a small hole in it.
Also way to expensive. Why would I want to buy a damaged product?

Buying or selling don't waste time. Then after sell can't even tell you what they brought for with little pay out

Good selection of clothes. Prices are extremely overpriced. Rude manager but really nice staff otherwise. Most items are not priced and prices can vary at the counter.

I went here for the first time yesterday to sell some shoes. Prior to this I’ve gone to Plato’s Closet multiple times. I must say, much MUCH better return on my items at Buffalo Exchange hands down. In addition, the service was absolutely amazing… everyone was so nice. Mind you, they were not able to accept all my items, but the reason I was given made complete sense and I was assured that they actually took the time to inspect my items before deciding not to accept them. This is now my “go to” place for selling all my clothes and shoes.

Decent selection but the people who work there don’t know how to price anything. Lots of Shein and Old Navy priced higher than you could buy it new. Old Navy tank for 15 dollars? Or i could buy it new at their store for $5. It makes no sense and they act like their consumers aren’t going to know the difference.

If you call retail prices for used clothes thrift then this is the place for you.
Besides that i went through several circular clothing racks and all i could find was shirts with trashy obscene graphics like skulls vomiting or zesty androgynous tank tops and what not. If you’re a zesty satanist emo with a lot of daddy’s money then you’ll love this place.

Overpriced, expect what feels like retail price for on trend items ($20/25 tops). I used to come here weekly to buy/sell my shoes/clothing, but I don’t see it being worth it anymore. Over the last year, this location has become overly picky about what they take, even though what’s on the floor is hardly worth much, let alone what they’re asking. They frequently decline a lot of my new with tags, high quality clothing. Floor workers don’t have the best attitudes either.

The clothes are plentiful and of good quality. However, the prices now rival that of regular retailers. No matter how much you spend, be prepared to pay nearly 3.00 if you want the store branded tote. Don't attempt to challenge the cost, as the circa '90's clan will challenge you right back that, "it's been that way since the '90's!" As though its your first time anywhere. I'm 63..and Greenwich Village is my usual stomping ground.
The stars are for the "sustainable" if you want a bag you have to buy one. And the prices have gone up significantly. There are quite a few one of a kind items.

I’ve been visiting the Carytown Buffalo Exchange regularly since it opened. I’m searching for higher end brands and have found some amazing pieces at this store. They have new, used and vintage items.
I’ve sold with them regularly. They have fair prices and they are clear about what they’re looking for, why they aren’t interested in buying something, etc.
The staff are always super welcoming and friendly. They are helpful and seem to have a really nice rapport with each other. Love the playlists. Overall 10/10 lovely spot to visit.
