If I could give a zero I would. This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. Budget has a completely broken system. We reserved a car the evening before but when we got there, no car. We were offered larger cars but were expected to pay more. It is not our fault you do not have the car we reserved. We should have been given a free upgrade, not have been charged more because of store error. The agent was also very condescending, uncaring and very unkempt. He made it seem like it's the customer's fault that they were out of cars saying, "Some customers just don't understand that we may be out of cars". We understand, we just know it's not right! On top of asking for more money, the deposit would not come off of the card for 7-10 business days. Run, don't walk away from this place and go right up the street to Enterprise where you will be treated right.

Unapologetic, unwilling to own their error, and completely unprofessional calling 20 minutes before a reservation. The novice I spoke to on the phone then berated ME for making a reservation online, "well, did you SPEAK to anyone?". "Well, you made that reservation after-hours. I made the reservation at 4:55pm. I took my business elsewhere. I should have checked the reviews on this place, first.

We were lied to many times by the person at the counter. There were a dozen cars outside but told our car had a check engine light and one might show up later. We asked the reservation be switched at the airport and were surprised when we were told that the only option was a new reservation at a much higher price. Reminds me how despicable there agencies are.

Wow, Use at your own risk! Rude unprofessional. The woman at first spoke normally as she quietly overcharged me. I am in the office before my return time. and she charges me a late fee. and refuses to remove. Then she easily begins screaming at the top of her lungs! her manager is not helpful. I will not argue with this type of person. So I had to call the main office to get a refund. I would rather pay more to get professional service. I would never use this company again.

I rented a truck on 8/17/19. I reserved the truck online. I declined the insurance for the truck. When I go to pick up the truck, I was told by the rep that she wasn't going to give me the key unless I put Insurance on the truck. I ended up putting the 29.99 Insurance on it and left. Was in contact with the rep until 3:00 that afternoon because we had to have the truck back before 4:00 when they closed. I called at almost 3:00 to let her know I was on my way back to the shop to return but no answer. We got stuck in traffic and arrived at 4:05 and of course she was gone with no call. I parked the truck and kept the key because I was told that they didn't have an after hour dropbox. The next morning the same rep blew my phone up because they didn't like where I parked the truck and because I kept the key. I feel like I wasn't treated fairly and I would love to see why I had to pay for an extra day any why I had to put Insurance on the truck.

The worst experience. I rented a truck this past Sunday 8/11. I returned it the same day, brought the key back the next day because they don't have an after hours drop box. On Monday I see a charge on my account for more than double the the deposit ($340). I was charged a late, i was charged for an additional day, I was charged for the dolly not being on the truck in which it was. Budget did send a refund for the dolly but I had to call back to get the late fee and the additional day fee refunded back to me. All in all, my account went into the negative because of Budget and in order to escalate an issue with their customer service department you have to send an email. I have sent an email and I have not heard back from anybody. I'm still waiting upset because I should receive an additional refund to my bank account for being over drafted because Budget charged me the incorrect amount.

This location has the worst customer service. Called ahead and was told my truck would be there, but when I arrived there was no truck. No explanation and they were absolutely rude and unhelpful. We will never use this company again.

Reserved a moving truck two weeks in advance. Arrived the morning of to pick up and there are no trucks available. Was told I would have to call customer service myself to see if they can find a truck for me. Really!?

If I could give 0 stars I would. Completely unprofessional. Drove 30 min out of our way to get a truck we reserved the day prior. We were pulling in to get the truck (20 min after the reservation time, which you'd think would've given them more time to work the kinks out, but no such luck) and found out they didn't even have our truck. They recommend we call the 1800 number and drive miles and miles more to find a truck. Decided to just cancel and pay the $30 more to use a reputable company like UHaul. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

Spoke to some rude woman who had no patience and was hostile. She actually hung up the phone on me. Then I called back and it was the same voice but calm Like she had a personality disorder. Didn't want to speak to her again so I hung up. Wish I got her name but I called at 2:40pm on May 18th maybe that will help. And I will call back. Couldn't even get a rental because the crazy lady hung up on me...

Worst experience ever. I set a reservation to move on October 16th. I come to Budget on the day of my move December 1st and they say there is no rental truck in richmond. I was never notified about this beforehand & was even given a 2nd reservation confirmation email Thursday November 29th. For nobody to let me know until I come into the building to let me know I can't rent a moving truck. Worst business experience I had. Very unprofessional and I wasted time on my moving day to hear this
