Absolutely awful. The local staff is pretty nice, but the system is horrible. I reserved a car, and prepaid for it, at another location...they didn't have it. I called the Nat'l 800 number, they claimed there were none left. I called back, they claimed they had one now (4 min apart). After calling the new location, they said they didn't have it. Then, after repeating this process (again), there was a car available. Upon arriving at this location, 2+ hours after I needed to leave, I received a completely different type of car. It was...not great. Will just stick with Enterprise, despite their flaws, it isn't this clown show. Again, local employees were very friendly, but you can't trust their "system". Should be investigated under § 59.1-196. Title, Virginia Consumer Protection Act.

Outside of airport all locations close at 6pm so if you run into traffic or any accidents on your way back you will be penalized for not returning vehicle by 6pm. You will either be charged for an extra day or if you return to airport you will be charged around $60 extra dollars. Also when trying to call locations to advise of delays no answer anywhere. No location has a drop box for keys so that means you’re stuck with the vehicle and you have to pay extra charge.

I have rented a few vehicles from this location and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences! To the woman who is always working behind the desk (sorry I don’t know your name), you are AMAZING!!

Rented period: August 2023During our rental, we encountered a deflated tire with low pressure (the message came on the panel). We then had to go to a gas station to pump up the tire at night time. After that, it happened AGAIN the following day. We contacted the Budget reservation line and they weren't very helpful. (Spoke to 2 different reps. One tells us it's fine to exchange car out at Avis, since it's a sister partner. The other rep said we weren't able to and had to return/exchange car at the Buffalo Airport.We drive to the Buffalo International Airport, which was out of our way, costing us more time and money, When we arrived at the Buffalo International Airport, we had to wait almost an hour for an exchange of vehicle, which wasn't even in the same class as ours. Overall, it was a debacle! Budget needs to take responsibility in ensuring the safety of its customers by making sure the vehicle are in working conditions before renting it out to customers. This cost us more time and money during our trip.

Worse rental experience,the lady behind the desk is the most unprofessional clerk ever,told me to go to another budget wn I came & got the car wn my reservation was there & it won't to late to go down the street to another budgetThen call me stupid because I brought the car back early & parked behind another car in there parking lot & didn't no they had a drop box in the back of the building,also didn't give me a receiptThen told me not to comeback there,no problem because I wont ever comeback in there

Avis/Budget is my go to place for rental cars. I typically rent 5+ cars annually for our family vacations. The location is convenient and I have always received exceptional customer service from the associates here.

Rented a van to drive out state and was given a Chevrolet 15 passenger van without any gas. Spent $94.00 to fill it up. I was expecting to leave in the morning. I drove off in morning and front wheels started to rattle. Pulled over to check if tires needed air and looked at both front tires and the inside of tires were bald with a bubble and you could see the metal tread of the tires. Luckily I was less than 50 miles from my home and rental place. I returned the vehicle and was still charged $52.00 and was not reimbursed for putting gas($94.00) in the vehicle. The fact that this company put my life in danger for the negligence of not properly inspecting the vehicle prior to sending it to a satellite office is ridiculous. I will never rent a vehicle from Budget again nor will I recommend your services to my family, friends, associates or even my enemies. 1 star applied to be able to share post.

Great experience! Ms. Paulette helped me when I mixed up the dates of my car rental! Car was very clean and the gentleman was patient with me as I did a very detailed look over ti make sure I wouldn’t be dinged for any defects. Great experience and will be back

Beware of hidden charges and counter staff who could care less if you have questions. Make sure YOU read the entire rental agreement contract before starting your trip. Better yet, have your attorney look it over. They checked the car in on return, handed my a receipt for one amount and THEN charged my credit card with a higher amount. NO ONE from Budget contacted me stated there were additional charges!!? How can you charge a higher amount after presenting a receipt with a different amount?!???! Budget thank YOU for ruining the first trip I've taken in over 4 years. You really know how to put the 'service' in customer service.

My experience here was so bad its hard to believe. It took over an hour to pick up a car we had reserved online (there was no one else in line) because the employees were goofing off and generally incompetent. Every few minutes we would have to wait for them to finish a personal conversation (including mocking another costumer who had just pulled into the lot) before they continued helping us. After all of that, they announced they didn't even have the right size car we reserved online and said we would have to pay extra for the space we needed. We were so ready to get out of there that we just settled on a smaller sedan. Once we opened the door it reeked of cigarettes and we had to negotiate another car so we wouldn't get charged at drop off for smoking. We finally left over an hour later with a car smaller than what we paid for. Would highly recommend going to any other rental agency.

we reserved a car to pick up on monday morning, oct. 24, 2022. they had no cars, and they did not know when they would get more cars. avoid this location, since you may get stuck. watch out for monday morning pick up, you may get stuck. try the pentagon city budget / avis location.

At Dulles Airport drop off worker made something wrong charging me $220 extra. Why? My rental was prepaid $52.76. Now I have to call from Spain to get my bill corrected which will be a big hassle for me.Very bad service.

They called me hours before my rental pickup telling me they no longer had my car. No replacement, no alternatives, nothing. Left me completely stranded, terrible company
