Called thinking this was the auto store in Mechanicsville. The woman on the phone said: "honey, you've got the wrong location."I don't handle patronizing very well and I am not your honey. Yes, I had the wrong location but I didn't need to feel insulted.

I took my truck to this Body Shop after being rear-ended and when I picked the truck up, there was paint chipped on the inside of the trunk door, the trunk, inside was left dirty with no work mats used for cleanliness and one of the problems that I initially asked the Shop to address was not. Long story short. When I brought the vehicle back to be re evaluated, not only was the above mentioned not addressed but I was met by a prejudice elderly man who undoubtedly thought I was some d**** uneducated black woman as he talked AT ME and not to me. On the prior day I spoke with a masculine voiced caucasian woman who made references to me “mam, we don’t do maintenance on your vehicle “ Wait, What? Needless to say, Nothing was accomplished except a negative interaction with several rude employees including an elderly man who said he has been doing this for 51 years and tried to dismiss the problem with the vehicle and totally lacked any manners or customer service skills and the female that I spoke to on the phone the prior day who came from the back of the shop on this day with absolutely nothing useful to include.Service: Body & Trim

They couldn’t get my car onto their schedule for 3 months. The morning we dropped it off they had the audacity to say they wouldn’t start work on it because they were behind schedule by 2 days. Why wouldn’t you call customers and tell them not to drop off their cars for another 48 hours? They also refused to tell us what other damage they found which State Farm paid them directly. Not sure what’s going on but the overall customer service experience at Bruce’s has gone downhill since the last time we used them.Service: Body & Trim

what these people are are liars I left my car there for almost 4 months and they didn't repair it and it showed up with some scratches and they don't take responsibility that workshop is useless be careful where you leave your cars

It took us 3 months to get onto their schedule. Then they were running 2 days behind but didn't bother to pick up the phone and call us to pushback our drop off date. Then no one could tell us what additional damage was found which State Farm paid them for directly. Service has gone downhill since the last time we used them.

Dropped my car off a month ago for a repair, when I picked it up it had new damage that occurred in their care and they refused to fix.Would give 0 stars as having damage occur in your care then refusing to fix is unacceptable.

I took my car to bruce’s after my incident and the customer service was top tier! Bret was amazing as always and they got my car in an out within a reasonable amount of time. If I had taken it anywhere else it was gonna be at least a month waiting time and I got my car back within 3 weeks. They also painted my hood and buffed everything out nice and smoothly to have the front end of my car looking perfect. Please don’t go any other way, the guys at Bruce’s go above and beyond!Service: Body & Trim

I have always used Bruce's. In the past I never had any issues . This time it was a nightmare. Daughters vehicle got vandalized and i sent her to Bruce's. We dropped it off and daughter was contacted to meet adjuster behind the building and her comment was he looked like a "skallywag" supposedly their Progressive adjuster for Bruces. He began by stating it would be considered two seperate incidents and began telling her most of the damage was not included. New car.. She had been trying to contact someone for weeks and this was their best. After my daughter attempted to speak with someone reputable the adjusters supervisor contacted me... Her mother. I am not on her policy.. She is an adult and we have no idea how they got my number. He discussed her case and basically said they were not going to repair all the damage. When she showed up to pick up her vehicle to take it somewhere else it had tar all over it. She questioned the adjuster and he stated it would come off. This place is a shady operation. What a shame. I always had great service there before. She is taking it to a reputable repair shop. Thankful we picked it up before they were able to do anymore damage. Only wish I had read the recent reviews before sending her there. Never again.Service: Painting

Always used this bodyshop in the Past. Sent my daughter to Bruce's after her new vehicle was vandalized. Their adjuster that works with Progressive showed up after more than a week attempting to get someone to respond. He told her to meet him behind the building. When he showed up.She described him as looking like a " skallywag" . He began by stating her claim would be two seperate incidents. She pointed out there was tar all over as it wasn't there before. The adjuster stated it would come off . Then described what they weren't going to repair. This whole operation seemed shady. After she complained his supervisor called me. Her mother. She's an adult and we have no idea how he got my number.I am not listed on her policy. He discussed her claim and basically informed me they weren't going to cover all the damage, would be submitting it as two seperate incidents and " she better get Them to start the repairs because the rental fees were building up ". I only wish I had read the reviews before we dropped it off. What a shame. It used to be a reputable establishment. We are taking it to a reputable shop recommended by a good friend. Never again. The adjusters even said this place is shady . If you look thru the other reviews you will see a pattern.

About 10-15 years ago, Bruce's was one of the best. After they messed up twice on a previous vehicle, I decided to give them one last shot. We had an estimate written up for the repair work after an accident and that estimate was inline with what the insurance company estimated so we booked the repair work. We waited over a month for them to be able to do the work. The old office manager lady, who is probably one of the least pleasant people I've met, asked my to clarify what the insurance company was covering. Once I did, she said they needed to rewrite the estimate. They then proceeded to lower the cost of the repair that the insurance company was paying for and increased the cost of the repair I was paying for. When I asked her why they did that, she got all upset and said they didn't. When I showed her the difference in black and white between their estimates, in the nastiest attitude possible, she said no she could not explain it.Services: Painting
