Horrible place. They steal from customers and from their workers as well. Horrible place to work. The owners are very rude, treats the staff less than. Look for a better place to sell and buy books. Honestly don't see how they are still in business. So disorganized and horrible business overall.

this places only way to make money is to boot peoples cars. they sit and wait on their cameras for a car to park so they can boot them and charge $40. i understand it is a private lot but make more noticeable signs if that’s the case. also maybe do a better job putting the boot on so it can’t be removed by the car owner just a thought

This place only relies on booting people’s car. My friend and I got booted and after when we had to pay 40 DOLLARS!!!! And after we payed and everything, he took the boot off her car and was SMILING IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. The signs are only on one side of the lot! He loves looking at those damn cameras he has. For a book store, I expected free parking. No wonder you don’t sell books. Turn into a car towing place at this point, make yourself some bank.

Illegal car-booting practice. This place deserves to be out of business. Degenerate owner has a guy camp at the lot and boot anything left there. Doesn't matter if its not during business hours, he will have him illegally boot your car and pay for it to be removed the next day. 1. The price to remove the "anti-theft boot" exceeds what the law states can be charged. 2. Only certified towing companies/city parking enforcement is allowed to enforce. The business itself is trash and to supplement he continues the scam.

they can’t actually sell their books so the owner sits and preys on students who park in “their” lot. The owner is an old racist man who sits and watches people on his cameras just to put on a boot on any car. Mind you it’s an empty lot. Also disgustingly rude person who tried to coerce me into signing away my rights of damages they did to my car. terrible humans. terrible place.

Sold books back in 2019 and still have not received the money after reaching out several times. Is there a way the owner that replied to this reach out to me.

The only way they make money is by booting peoples cars for $40. Ran inside to Got Dumplings for food for maybe 10 minutes and had a boot put on my car. I was in a spot with absolutely NO signage. The guy who works there took off my boot too, I guess he puts them on too? DO NOT SUPPORT THESE SCAMMERS!!!

Horrible business. Dishonest business practices. Boots cars in their parking lot without any signs posted.

Their main business is putting boots on people’s cars and extorting them for $40. That’s not an exaggeration or misrepresentation. I waited around in an empty store for 10 minutes to find out no one had been helping me because they were instead putting boots on cars. When they finally walked in they thought they had put a boot on my car. This place is a joke.

Mr. Clark Albright, you made no purchase, harassed staff and customers, and interrupted private business feeling self-entitled. I hope charges are brought against you by BookHolders for your aggressive behavior for trespassing and harassment. Shop online so no one ever has to deal with you personally again.

Y'all stole my books. If you go in there to turn in books for cash, DO NOT, I repeat: DO NOT use their "advantage" system if they don't offer cash upfront. They say they'll mail you a check if it sells, but I've never been mailed any checks. I got an email months later saying that they were reducing the sell prices of the books to practically nothing, meaning that if I were to get anything it would be a check for just a few cents. Don't use if you have any better options

I never got paid $43.83 for two books of mine that they sold by Aug 2020. Just checked their website again and it STILL says “Sold! Check pending (not ready yet)” after two years. I reached out to their customer service previously and was told by Alex C that they would force print the check through but never received a check or any kind of confirmation or even an apology on behalf of the company.I strongly advise against selling to them unless you’re getting payment upfront.

Someone that works for this company said they would buy my textbooks off my fb listing. After making the deal, they then proceeded to text me at 11pm in a very unprofessional demeanour saying there is a problem- she claimed the company was unable to send multiple customers their cheques so they had to send me all the money for 7 other peoples orders, and then i was responsible for sending each of the other people their portion of the money....????like excuse me????? if this is a legit company why would you not be able to send more than one cheque out and why would that be MY job as a customer to do? I of course said no, and she then with an attitude said "it's just a favour im not forcing you". Im shook lol wtf

They should switch their business to car parking fees collection. No one was at their low rated moldy smelling store and the only way to make up for their failure at selling books, they boot and tow cars. They print A4 paper size warning signs and expect people to see. The signs were placed at weird places to make it impossible to see when entering from their main entrance. When I asked the manager to walk with me and see that I did not see any warning sign from the way I entered the parking, she said she wouldn't make a sign for every parking space which they should considering how much they make from the fees.
