Ashbys is my favorite clothing store in Richmond. When I was at VCU I went to that store almost every week looking for new clothes. I love the consignment that they do, they're very flexible with my time and if there's no open appointments available I call the first thing in the morning to check for last minute cancellations. I always have pretty good luck with the items they take so I always use store credit. I've found some really cute and unique clothes for super cheap. Ray (not sure if that's correct spelling) always treats me so well and when I wanted to buy something I saw on their Instagram, she let me buy it over the phone and let someone else pick it up for me.

Ashby’s is one of our favorite stores! They always carry neat jewelry, clothes and stickers/pins plus the staff are nice.

Very laid-back, well curated in terms of local goods. An ever rotating stock of bought in secondhand fashion that has a minimum of fast fashion. I never feel rushed here, the dressing rooms are spacious, and the staff is kind. The buy by the pound tub proceeds go to local charities.

I adore shopping at Ashby's. It always feels great to go thrifting, not only because the prices are great, but because second hand clothes are better for the environment. I especially love Asbhy's because it's not too hard to find something cute here. I love selling my clothes here for credit. You can sell them for cash too, but you get more money in credit. This charming shop is located in Carytown next to Mellow Mushroom and across the street from World of Mirth. It's a huge shop filled with all types of womens clothes, shoes, accessories, art, and more. For their newer goods, I appreciate the focus on Richmond themed things. The people who work here are kind too.If you're planning to sell your clothes, you'll have to make an appointment online and fill out a form/show your ID. You can only do two tote bags of clothes at a time (no trash bags). This process is usually quick and if not they'll call or email you to notify how much they can offer in cash or credit.It gets really busy here on the weekends, but they have enough fitting rooms to accommodate crowds. I've never had to wait in line to get a fitting room. The hunt for clothes is fun here and I like the little breaks in between. My favorite part is the amount of cute things you can get here for the price. I highly recommend shopping at Ashby's.

I love this place! They have a mix of thrifted clothes and shoes as well as new items made by local artist! Everything from candles to jewelry, hats, bags, scarfs, hair ties and more!; Prices are great!!
