“Very cool space with a laid-back atmosphere. This place would be great for meetings, events or just a chill session in the city. They have 3 floors and a bar downstairs. They have a cigar room with windows that open up to Broad St, where you can sit and take it all in.”
“One of the best venues in RVA.The studio is always a vibe: I’ve done a lot of work there through various albums and every single time I’m able to come out of there with so much more polished work than what I went in with. It’s a busy venue, sometimes I’ve had sessions when there was an event was happening out front and it never blended or bothered or got in the way. It’s always love here and if you’re looking to book any events or studio time I would 10/10 recommend this spot. Shout out to the homie Will and the team. One of the biggest contributions to the culture in Richmond, VA- CJ The Profit”
“Fabulous affordable classes for the community. Great arts program, dance program, nature programming and youth career readiness! Large playgrounds and magical forest”
“The associate was very nice and complimentary! She made me feel at home and she knew a lot about each of the hats that I looked at. I didn't feel pushed to buy anything. I felt like she genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase and even gave suggestions that was from a perspective of fashion and not from a perspective of just trying to sell me something.”

“Absolutely the best framing shop I've ever worked with... in RVA or DC! My husband and I have used Rick's to frame a print that was a gift from our son, and to frame two original art pieces we bought at a local gallery. We also used them to re-mat a painting to go with new decor. Rick's is on the pricey side, but well, well, worth it. First, the selection of frames and mats is outstanding, and easy to browse. They offer a wide variety of frames in every style imaginable. The staff are wonderful - knowledgable and friendly. We've worked with 3 separate framing experts for our projects and all were extremely helpful, making suggestions and taking all the time we need to get just the right look. Rick's is popular, so if you go on a weekend or lunch hour, you may have to wait a bit. But be patient... the reason you are waiting is because they are not rushing their customers, and they won't rush you when it's your turn. The turnaround time for framing is reasonable, and they call you when your items are ready for pick-up. Rick's is our go-to shop for framing from now on!”
“This place is a neighborhood gift, nothing but good things to say. I wish we had more establishments like it. I kinda want to turn one of its rooms into a little cafe bar ?”
“So happy to discover this pottery gallery. I window shopped my way into an exciting purchase of two ramen bowls for my son's birthday this weekend. The artist called to alert me about a mismatch between online inventory I had ordered and actual products on hand. I appreciated her getting a good solution in place right away for me. She was easy to work with and understanding of the time restraint with this being a birthday gift. The bowls come with chopstick and designed with holes to rest them. It's a price investment but totally worth it for that unique gift that supports local art and is going to be cherished by my little foodie, who prefers to take his meals with chopsticks over western utensils any day.”
“Anne provides a bright and positive experience with her art gallery. She is energetic, knowledgeable, and eager to help you find art that speaks to you. The price point to the works she represents allows affordability to the beginner art collector and provides exceptional buying opportunities for the more seasoned collector. Visiting her gallery is a must for any art lover who finds themselves downtown. I would highly recommend going.”
“This place is full of treasures. You just need to go there and take a look. People are very friendly and nice. Lots of cool clothes records and more.I'll be back for sure.”
“A nice addition to the old space once occupied by the former BK Music...Personally I have sorta missed the old vinyl store. However this is kindaa hip addition to the area... It's bright & open...has a good flow to it....besides it holds art on a rotating basis. Hope it has staying power..Southside could use a little more of this..”
“Have only been here for FridayJazz Night. The performances are top class such as one might expect in the better clubs in a major city like Washington, DC. We are so lucky to have these local acts showcased here in Richmond. My only issue is available seating but I don't mind standing for the unbelievable price of $5!!”

207 W Broad St, Richmond“A nice gallery attached to a fun hotel concept. Some nice pieces in the attached hotel lobby, and an overall well designed contemporary space. The gallery flows from the lobby space well, and has a variety of small works and gift shop items intermixed. Display was well thought out, and highly curated. There is an overall clean feel with pops of pink that tie everything together, from the work and products on display to the packaging, signage, and selection of two dimensional pieces that support the overall feel of the space. Products range from handmade one of a kind works to inexpensive production items (like sunglasses and plated fashion jewelry). There is a selection for every price range.”

3417 W Cary St, Richmond“I had a delightful day exploring Cary Town, indulging in both shopping and dining experiences. Of course, no visit would be complete without popping into my favorite establishment along the strip. The array of art, jewelry, and clothing never fails to impress, but it's the owner who truly makes the visit special for me.
Stepping into the store, you're not just greeted by merchandise; you're welcomed into a conversation. The owner's genuine interest in our backgrounds and the origins of the items in the store creates an enriching experience. Whether it's discussing his own artwork, admiring the beautiful creations crafted by his daughters, or learning about the diverse origins of products from Nepal and beyond, every visit to the store is a journey of inspiration, bursting with color and joy.
For those seeking a truly unique and memorable destination, Cool Colors Gallery is unparalleled. And if you happen to drop by, don't forget to convey greetings from Kansas City, Missouri! Thank you for providing not only a fantastic shopping day but also a truly lovely human connection.”
“Go to this fantastic place and here's why: Recently attended the opening of ICA's two newest exhibitions, Morgan Bassichis: More Little Ditties & Paul Chan: Breathers. Here is my short list of why you should go too.Go to be provoked by art that can be taken in on intellectual and emotional levels.Go to feel like you've met and been spoken to by the creative, compassionate, and clever Morgan Bassichis.Go to laugh so hard at Morgan's humour.Go to be inspired by Paul Chan's radical career shift and his thought provoking, sometimes unsettling fluid sculptures.Go to take a break from your routine in a beautiful space.Go because it's free and why would you want to pass this up.Go because I hear that the cafe has wonderful food and bev(but I keep visiting after hours so I'll have to review that at a later date)Go to have your mind blown! You're welcome!”
“I love Laurel Gallery and buy my gifts from them to share art with my friends and family. Their hours are sometimes tough to get there but I always check before I go to make sure they are open when I'm able to visit! Loyal customer, Bobbie Brooks”
