I've been with this storage place since 2009 when Mr. Flannery was alive and owned it. He understood what it meant to be fair and honest with folks who were renting units from him. The people running the office were super nice and understandable if you were 3-6 days late on your rent, but they knew they would get their money. When Storage Solutions bought it years ago, they upt the rent, which ok I can deal with it. Now that this new company, US Storage, owns it, I got a letter in the mail stating that because of the increase in the cost of living and post covid, they were raising one of my units to $79. When I called and asked about this and why their only raising one of the units and not the other, the lady explains that she doesn't think I'm the only one having an increase in rent and said eventually my other unit would be raised as well. I asked the lady what does the increase of living has anything to do with storage units. They're not losing money one bit and only making it financially harder for the people who have units there and are on a fixed income. She said that corporate is trying to stay competitive with other companies. AND that's all it is. Corporate wants to make more money no matter how it affects the people that's keeping them in business, and its called Price Gouging!
Please comment on this post if anyone else's unit rates have gone up as well, so I know that I'm not the only one. Thank You

Nice storage units but the new ownership changed alot of things. The fact that your bill is due on the 1st f the month and if it's not paid by the 6th they lock your gate access so 6 days and u can't even get into your unit which is a little ridiculous.

One star for now cause past 4 days they haven't fix the lock to the unit that I help my mother get. Every worker clams they going to call management and call me back and not once I got a call back. One person clams there no units have normal wooden door with normal lock on the handle with key. Which actually lots of the storage do. I keep telling them the door lock but when closed it don't lock in place casue you can push it open. I have called 20 to 30 mins after paying telling them it don't work. My mother in desperate need for a storage. These people don't know what their cause in our life cause her stuff can't be in storage that she already payed for but can't use. Like please do your job.

Recommend the storage building because they have a lot of room in them plus 65 for the first month this includes the deposit and the rest of the months its only 50 dollars and they arw cheaper then anyone else in the whole tazewell county in state of Virginia

I have a storage unit at Flanary Storage in Richlands Virginia. My diseased Mother and Grandmother's items are in there and I owe very little and am willing to pay off the amount due. I have called several times begging them not to auction my unit off and they will not return my calls. I offered to pay off the amount due ASAP and go empty out my storage unit in the messages I left on their answering machine. Geri Flanary and/or their office manager still have not returned my phone calls. I pray in Jesus name Mrs. Flanary finds it in her heart to allow me to pay the unit off and pickup my family heirlooms that mean so much to me. I have had my unit and paid for several years. If Mrs. Flanary allows me to pay off the amount due and pick up my stuff I'll gladly change my review from one star to five stars and rewrite this review positively. I pray in Jesus name.

Worst people to do business with there greedy as hell no matter how much you try paying its not enough for these people all I want is my hold Christmas tree and after paying $200 they are still wanting $300 for the door to be open
