Put a "street ratio" gear box in my BSA WD B40 which had a very "low ratio" trials type gear box. Mounted new tyres. Randy is really good at what he does!

I should have not paid $693 up front before I had inspected his work. My fault. I'm not happy with the restoration of a 1971 Kawasaki MT1 fuel tank Randy did for me. I sent in the fuel cap with the tank and it was sent back untouched. I guess he figured that I had paid in full there was no sense in restoring the fuel cap. When I got the tank back three months later I unwrapped it to find a fresh dent in the bottom along with finger prints in the paint before it dried, And several air bubbles in the new decals. The dent in the bottom looked to have happened before he packaged it up because there was no damage to the box or bubble wrap it was shipped in. I won't be sending anymore work his way. I'll give one star because there is no option for a 1/16 of a star.

My son and I attend some of the motorcycle shows and always enjoy greeting Randy and seeing some of his latest restorations. Besides his friendly demeanor and genuine interest in anything related to motorcycling, he is recognized as one of the top restorers of mostly historic motorcycles in the Mid-Atlantic area. Quality restoration is painstaking work and requires considerable expertise to ensure success. Randy has it!

Previous reviewer, 'elusive one' is clueless. Randy's Cycle is one of the top restoration facilities nationally. There is nothing 'money grubbing' about charging a client to consult. Knowledge and experience are precious, valuable commodities. Folks that can't see that, in my experience, feel entitled to get whatever they want. Bunch of wankers, really.

I contacted to ask "who made the after market radiator on one of his builds?" I get a long winded response from his wife( I believe ) wanting money to answer a simple question? And also a link to some Forbes article about why they have to charge etc etc. Randy you do good work but your money grubbing tactics turn off potential customers.
