Closes their state inspection 10 minutes prior to what was said over the phone and argues that the time on the wall clock is correct when the cell phone time shows it different and still doesn't accept the service. Do not relay on this service!

Top notch customer service and shop. Went in for routine oil change and due to a unforeseen mix up, my wait time was a little delayed. For waiting a little longer than expected, they comped the entire oil change. Definitely found my go to shop!

I convinced my dad to get my mom’s car inspected her since it’s close to our house instead of my dad’s usually place to get inspection done. They did the inspection in 15 minutes which was quick. Definitely coming back again.

My family and I have been patronizing South Lakes Sunoco since 2009. For years, Adi has inspected our multiple vehicles annually. He is always friendly, professional, efficient, and kind. As much as one can look forward to annual state and emissions inspections, Adi makes the obligatory ritual as smooth and painless as possible. He alerts me when an aspect of the car technically passed but needs to be addressed sooner rather than later for my family’s safety. Additionally, I have always found the shop to be honest and a fair price. Edward, the manager, is also always professional and friendly.

Go-to shop for emission inspection. Adi has consistently provided the most efficient, attentive, and friendly service - same can be said for the rest of the team. We have not come across a better shop in the years we’ve had our cars serviced in Herndon/Reston. Extremely trustworthy, would recommend to absolutely everyone - especially for emissions tests.

Shockinly bad security procedures.
I went in for the standard VA safety inspection. As always, you pay for it when it's done, so I was waiting inside by the cashier's counter. Someone comes up and drops off the completed inspection form, and I'm waiting for the cashier to finish up a phone call so I can pay and leave, and then it dawns on me that the guy who did the inspection didn't drop the key off with it.
I look over to the service bay where my car was, and they're already inspecting another car there. I can't imagine anybody would be so stupid, but I walk outside to check on a suspicion...
... and sure enough, they had left my car sitting right in front of convenience store portion of the building, completely unattended, doors unlocked, windows down and the key still in the ignition!
Once the cashier gets off the phone, I ask to speak to his manager since I find this to be a fairly severe issue. As it turns out, the cashier is the manager, but he just doesn't see the issue with it. I tell him what happened, and he says that it's just their policy to do that, as if that's some immutable law of nature.
He says that the other guy must have seen me waiting inside so he knew I wouldn't be that long. He just didn't seem to grasp that it really wouldn't take someone that long to steal a car that they've made that easy to drive off with.
Once he started trying to convince me it was fine since it was a low crime area and they've never had any issues before, I gave up trying to convince him.
So yeah, stay away, unless you like living dangerously.

So I live in Woodbridge. I take my cars here bc they take such good care of my work vehicles that are parked and driven in Reston.
There is this guy named Adi (I think is how you spell it) and I feel really good about him inspecting my vehicles. All of the team here is great though.
