Sandy Spring is the worst possible bank you could sign up for. I like the idea of a local bank but their technology is in the stone age and it takes several days to reach customer service. I opened an new CD account with Ms. Farahnaz Bahvi. She was very pleasant, and helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised, how nice and helpful she was. I was little concerned after reading the reviews. I still went in due to CD Rate is so much better than some of the other banks. I highly recommend the bank, staff is also very helpful.

I have been with this bank, wanting to support local for over 2 years now. I am closing both my personal and business accts due to their lack of good customer service and an archaic online system that seems so outdated and inefficient. The reps keep saying they are in the process of updating..but too slow for me. And every time I’ve come into the branch, I want to pull out my hair. There are too many other options for them to be this clueless and careless.

Absolutely useless customer service. One woman was clueless, the other was rude. They couldn't perform a single task. VERY unprofessional. Glad my branch is the Great Falls one where their customer service is perfect. I won't be going back to this branch. Terrible---I would drive farther to avoid this place at all costs.

Applied through Sandy & my loan officer James Johnson, made us wait for 57 days with no pre-approval on the horizon.Kept saying every week, this week, this week and always brought new things to reject us.NEVER EVERE EVER GO THROUGH WITH THIS BANK EVER.
