As many times as I have complimented this school, we continue to struggle with communication and that has led to a revision of my review. My husband and daughter realized the hard way that we were not receiving emails from the school about half way into our second semester when every kid in class was told to wear Halloween costumes and ours was not prepared. We were told it's our fault and not theirs, "must be your spam folder" except neither my husband nor I have anything ever from them except a receipt of payment. We'll once again the school didn't communicate with us that they were going to be closed. I even spoke with the teacher via email the week before. I went through the whole website, and it said nothing about being closed. We structured our holiday weekend around her class and wake her up early to drive the extra distance from Ashburn. The school is NOT worth $325 + a 25 min commute. Will not be returning, but since we were invisible to them to begin with after 2 seasons enrolled, I doubt this feedback will even be recognized.

My daughter Beya got to experience her first dance classes here and always looked forward to going, always happy when she leaves. She was enrolled in the Creative Dance for 3-4 yr olds and her teacher was Sarah. She loved it enough that we are considering enrollment for the next semester, even though we now live in Ashburn. If you're a mom like me trying to expose your kid to new activities I recommend this studio. The price is reasonable, and they do offer weekend and during the week classes.

Ravel Dance Studio is a true gem. The quality performances staged at the stunning Capital One Hall alone are worth noting. Yet, what truly sets it apart are the dedicated teachers who tirelessly shape their students into exceptional young women. As a customer, one feels fortunate to be a part of such a transformative journey. This studio iin the best in the area.

Ravel Dance Studio is a wonderful dance home for any family. Our daughter loves her teachers and classes and they always challenge her to grow. We are thankful for the healthy attitudes about body image, strength and diversity that are present at the studio.

My two girls have been going to Ravel for 7 years. While staying home with COVID 19, they miss their ballet friends and going to ballet more than their school friends. We were lucky to have found Ravel. All the teachers are talented and dedicated! Recommend highly!

This dance class studio is phenomenal. My then 5 year old granddaughter, Tyliyah Johnson was signed up with "RAVEL DANCE STUDIO" and simply loved it. The owner, instructors and all staff teaching and mentoring this young age of new dancers we're extremely patient and actually took the time to teach and nurture each individual dancer and my granddaughter loved every minute of learning and performing with her age group. Everyone was very kind, understanding and patient helping the dancers to reach their full potential for their age group. I highly recommend RAVEL DANCE STUDIO to any and everyone who are serious about dance. Everyone here is amazing!! Thank You!

I was at Ravel for 9 years and they were the best years of my life. It was my second home and I have never found a place more loving and supportive then Ravel.

I danced at Ravel for 15 years and loved every minute! It gave me a second family and home. Ravel also prepared me to become a dance major in college in the hopes to pursue a professional dance career.

My daughter has attended Ravel since she was 5. I will say that having also taken ballet, I was at first concerned, during the recital, the 5 year olds were doing what looked like beauty pageant performances and watching the teacher while they "performed" on stage. But then my daughter was invited to join the excellerated class, we have been with Ravel since. The owners are two women, Ms. Janet and Ms. Ursula, they are warm and kind and really care about these kids. My daughter takes ballet and jazz and loves it. The group of girls she is with are wonderful and they all work well together, I have been amazed at every performance. I will tell you that this school is not at all cheap. The school is non for profit. You pay for classes, costumes and performance tickets, shoes etc, but it is worth it for the discipline and love of dance that will be instilled in your daughter (or son-I hope-they need more boys at that school!) Also, if your child is invited into the excellerated classes, expect to have to teach your young child about commitment. This school is NOT for the flaky child or parent. Saturday morning classes means skipping possible birthday parties and friday night sleepovers, your child is expected to attend class and commit to her lessons. Plus: Having been through dance school and what it can do to body image, Ravel is not one of those schools that will insist that young dancers "lose weight" or put them on pointe before their time. A lot of the girls in the school are quite voluptous dancers with healthy bodies which is refreshing and Ravel really prepares these girls for the rigours of pointe by conditioning their feet and ankles. One school I visited (I wont name names) had a very young girl going on pointe-she was at least 7. That same school had a mom complain that they told her tween to lose weight. Not at all good.
