Highly recommend Epic. Found this gym when Gold's gym (without notice) closed on us. Have been training with Joe ever since. Very professional and flexible. Great quality in equipment and reasonably priced. My wife has also joined and she also only has great things to say. Wished we had found Epic Athletic Center sooner.

Epic has been the perfect gym to get me back into a regular exercise lifestyle. I began with one-on-one training with Joe who is very knowledgeable and an expert in his field. That personal training has set me up for success to continue my "strength training." Thanks Epic!

Excellent facility, staff, and atmosphere! Members receive 24/7 access which is great for those with busy schedules. Perfect for those who are serious about their training and want a more private (much less crowded) alternative to a commercial gym. Joe is always responsive to his members’ needs and will encourage you to reach your goals.

Easily the best gym in the area. 24/7 access for members, solid equipment that is constantly upgraded, a member base that takes care of the place, and an owner that has a wealth of knowledge and is more than willing to help out. Highly recommend.

can’t say enough good things about this place. top-tier training facility for those looking to improve overall athleticism and performance. the environment is kept extremely clean and sanitary at all times. and a small perk that no one seems to mention here is that the music can be adjusted with an accessible iPad. I do wish Epic had more of a locker room/changing area and a full length mirror or two vs. just a restroom. but the gym itself is unparalleled. keep up the good work, Joe!

I am glad to have found Epic since moving to Reston! With my busy schedule, I wanted a conveniently located gym I can go train without interruption between what equipment is available and Epic certainly delivers that and so much more!The owner of the gym Joe is genuinely nice, with 11 plus years of experience, he is the epitome of practice what you preach. His words of wisdom on health and training is foundational to my health and wellness!I have done 8 personal training sessions and not only do I look great/ feel great. I always walk out those doors feeling accomplished, empowered, & inspired!

To say Epic is the best gym I’ve been a part of is somehow an understatement. Through my 4 years of searching for a gym that I can call home, Epic has finally filled that gap. The coaches and gym members show nothing but respect, and the atmosphere of the gym makes you want to train to the best of your ability. The quality of equipment and variety of bars, dumbbells, & exercise tools makes Epic more than special. If you’re looking for a non-commercial, friendly but competitive gym, Epic is it.

If you have a service animal, don’t even bother trying to get a tour. In 11 years of business, according to the owner, they’ve never had a service animal walk through their doors, and they never want that. People might have allergies after all, which everyone with a service animal knows that based on the ADA, knows is not a reason to deny a service animal.Of course I know the business is going to come back and say “I denied you because you had a bad attitude.” Well this is because they immediately denied my service animal without even asking if he’s a service animal, and denying a service animal is illegal. I mean, there’s a leash wrap, on my leash, that clearly states that Norbert is a service animal. I don’t know where businesses get the idea that they can deny us.I’m mad. For 2 reasons. 1) I was denied access to a business that I intended to pay to use their facility to better my health. 2) They used horrid excuses to deny a service animal, which is illegal, and therefore will continue to deny service animals. Which isn’t fair to handlers. Why are people with disabilities not allowed to get healthier? I saw lots of people getting healthier, and I am still a person, even if I have disabilities that are mitigates by the use of a service animal.So, come at me. Tell me that you denied me because “Well you acted entitled to the facility and we just don’t like you.” “It’s not about your service animal.” When the first words you said were “We don’t allow pets.” And I explained that he’s a service animal and what he does and you still denied me a tour of your facility.So, if you’re considering Epic, don’t. They clearly have no place for inclusion.However, both worldgate (a touch expensive but was wonderful) and LA Fitness (the location on Elden in Herndon) are great about service dogs!Response to owner: he will never step foot in your non-inclusive facility again.

The owner denied my service animal immediately, then backtracked and denied us based on my "attitude" when I told him that denying a service animal is illegal and that he would be reported to the DOJ. So basically, if you're disabled, don't expect to get any help from this facility in bettering your health.

Basic gym for resistance training. Machines are quality and Joe is friendly and helpful. Unlike other gyms, EAC is never overcrowded. Access is 24 hr, and you get your own access.As a trainer, Joe’s methodology is to use slow reps to increase how much muscles work. He also promotes good diet and external activity, such as walking.I am over fifty with knees that complain when I go up stairs. So, I have my own issues. Even so, I’ve seen good results with Joe’s regimen. He really cares about his clients. This place is great for the serious jock, but not intimidating for the novice with issues.This is place is a gem in Reston.

Unrivalled gym.The specially curated, well maintained, and highly effective equipment would have been enough to make this gym stand out from competitors; but Epic also has a knowledgeable and friendly staff, a present and involved owner, a clean premises, and a HIGHLY MOTIVATED group of members.In a world of club gyms and fitness influencers, Epic sets itself apart by appealing to a crowd of genuine hardworkers.I'm cutting myself short because there are too many positives to list. The place is unreal. I quit my onelife membership the day I checked out Epic (and paid my cancellation penalty happily).

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. This is a great gym with a very welcoming atmosphere and great training sessions. Joe is extremely knowledgeable with strength training and general health/fitness, He explains concepts in a way that’s easy to digest and puts an emphasis on technique which was one of the most valuable things Ive learned here.

Epic Athletic Center is a superb place to train.Joe is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and will help you reach your goals. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Within the first day or two of meeting, he set me up with a personalized fitness plan, nutrition program, and other guidelines. He also checked in when I was at the gym, was on hand for questions, and always made time to talk even when busy. He stresses the basics: effort, technique, consistency. There are no gimmicks here, just solid advice and encouragement.The facility itself has all of the equipment you will need, with an excellent set of new machines and ample free weights, etc. It is also kept very clean. The feel of the place is more like a friendly fitness club than a gym. It is never too crowded and there are usually a handful of people working out during normal business hours which makes the training feel more of a group effort.All in all, Joe is the best of the best. I know that his advice will stick with me for years to come, not only with training, but also with sleep, nutrition, and goal-setting. Thanks again, Joe!

LOVE this place!! Annie is an absolute rock star!! She connects with adults and young athletes alike--knows her stuff like no other!! No cookie cutting, just a genuine desire to help each individual reach their goals. I workout with her as does my daughter, a HS senior and many of my players.
