Would have been nice to have been told the phone line was diverted to Shirlington and that this location isn’t open when I called about a birthday cake. I’m not sure if they mentioned Shirlington (might have been in the greeting message) when they picked up the first call but that was what I was told when I called back after failing to find the store. It would have been helpful to have emphasized that the cakes are only available at the Shirlington location.

I was really excited to find a force-free grooming spot for my anxious dog. I made an appointment a few weeks out, the earliest I could get in, and it was canceled the night before with no explanation. I rebooked for a week later, when it was once again canceled the night before with no explanation. I called the Shirlington location to reschedule, but couldn’t get through. After leaving a voicemail, my friend tried calling and immediately got through. I was given two different explanations for why the groomer canceled and told I would go to the bottom of the waitlist, and that appointments were booked out through December. Very disappointed to have wasted my time and wouldn’t recommend others do the same.

should be clear that the Reston location is by appointment grooming only - I went looking for the bakery and Apple Maps said the store was open and I got there and found no store front after circling the plaza twice.

They refused to honor a confirmed appointment when arrived. I informed the manager. She didn't offer any apologies for overbooking, instead she was disrespectful, offensive. I informed the owner Sheila, she was the same. Never again. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S COMMENT: Filed an official complaint, will pursue this legally. Full of disillusion, arrogance. Shows the level of customer service skills. See attached my e-mail, which she claims to be a "harassment". Yet, she never once apologized for overbooking, not honoring confirmed reservations and disrespectful, offensive behavior.

I have been taking my dog here for over 2 years and the service has always been top notch. I had an appointment today 12//20/20 with a new groomer, because the groomer we always trusted left the company. The experience this time was far from superior. My dog had a cut on her paw and it wouldn't stop bleeding. The groomer said that my dogs paw was already scratched up, and somehow opened up. The groomer said she was a tech also and would clean up her wound and try to get the bleeding to stop. After about 15-20 minutes she was able to stop the bleeding. We took our dog home, but her paw is still bleeding periodically. We will be monitoring her condition overnight, if things get worse or doesn't improve we will have to take her to the vet in the morning.

I am so pleased with the grooming services at Dogma in Reston! Grace was such a pleasure to talk with and she did a phenomenal job on my 1 year old mixed breed, Otis (pictured) and my 3 year old lab/pit mix, Max. I would give 10 stars if I could! We will be back!

Dogma is the place to go for your dogs grooming and treats! We had the best experience with them! My wife and I are very picky and most of the time discontent when we get our dog groomed. Grace did a fantastic job she left him exactly how we like and Choco was very happy after. We picked him up and he was very excited. We will definitely be going back to Grace as she is wonderful and talented! Don't think twice if you're in this area book an apt you will not regret it.

I love that they don’t crate the dogs and only allow who’s being pampered to be in the store. The location is great. I can drop Sammie off then go hang out in the plaza while she’s there. Grace does a phenomenal job and is extremely detail oriented. We are so happy to have found her.
