Very poor customer service experience at this store with a representative and the store manager. I went in for a replacement phone and was told completely wrong information by the representative and ended up with an additional $500 charge on my bill the following month. This representative was also using her vape pen the entire time she was assisting me, which I felt was incredibly unprofessional.
When I received my next bill and it had an additional $500 charge, I contacted customer service and they advised I go into the location and speak with the manager. I reviewed the whole situation with the manager and he gave me some options that would make my bill $40/month higher or to pay the $500 even though I already paid $360 the month before. He then made a phone call and came back and told me I would be issued a one-time $500 credit to my account and they needed a few days to review everything on my account before issuing the credit. This manager also gives me his personal number so I can follow up directly with him.
A week goes by and I follow up, but receive no response. I follow up again a few days later and he then says they're issuing half of the credit, but need a screenshot of my receipt to show how much the old phone cost, which I found really strange I needed to provide that for them. I had bought the previous phone from the same location and he should have had access to that information. After asking him how to get that or how he doesn't have access, I receive no response…I attempt to follow up again the following day and get no response again…
I am eventually successful getting in contact with someone in customer service Verizon and review the entire situation with them so they are aware of the lack of customer service and Verizon knowledge at this specific location. I found the whole situation with this specific manager to be sketchy and I feel like I was lied to the entire time.
I would not recommend going into this location at all. I would drive further into Richmond or Mechanicsville to go to one of their bigger stores for assistance.

Josh at the Verizon in New Kent was an unexpected pleasure to work with. I’m not tech savvy and he was patient and professional in helping with all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him if anyone needs assistance with Verizon.
