I have had so many issues getting the same monthly med filled here it’s insane. People saying and confirming it’s ordered, go in three days later it’s not ordered. Constant confusion having to walk through the same processes every single month, amnesiac employees in pharm.
Edit/update : purcellville pharmacy had my order sorted in minutes with zero frustration and zero hand holding. As a healthcare worker I just don’t understand how a group of HCWs can be this inept. The last mistake cost me $300… and that will be the last mistake I make with Walgreens. They really do deserve the negative reviews on here. Not just my primary script I’ve had many issues with preparing meds wrong when compounded with additives for kids, filling improper amounts, ordering obscene amounts of extra and asking me to pay

This review is about the Walgreens Purcellville pharmacy specifically. I've been using them since 2019 and I cannot remember the last time I had a good experience there. I will be transferring subscriptions as soon as the current one is out of refills. I can't continue to give them money for terrible service.
The problems are myriad:
- Prescriptions aren't ready when they say they will be - not even close.
- Doctors who fax or email in prescriptions are told by patients that Walgreen's never received them.
- What I assume is miscommunication between staff at the pharmacy, leading to prescriptions not being filled even after getting confirmation that the prescription would be filled and ready to pick up within 30 minutes, leading to wasted trips to the pharmacy.
- The automated voice function for the pharmacy is a mess and does not recognize when numbers are pressed on the phone keypad.
I assume they are understaffed and this is the reason for the horrible performance. Whether or not this is not the reason, Walgreens management needs to rectify this ASAP.
Please save yourself the trouble and do not use this Pharmacy.

Walgreens understaffs their locations on purpose to save money. I feel bad for the employees. Their automated telephone system is a Kafka-esque swirling vortex of torment. If you ever need to fill your medications at this location, may god have mercy on your soul.

Had some disposable cameras from a honeymoon to develop. Dropped them off, was told it would be about a week and they’d let me know to pick the photos up. Two weeks later and someone rudely told me over the phone she “didn’t have a clue when they’d be ready” and hung up. It’s now been over a month, I now have to move out of state and won’t be getting any of those memories.

I had a prescription called in by 11 AM. I called to check on it at 2:15 PM and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I went to pick it up at 3:30 PM, I was told it was not ready, but would be in 20 minutes. No apology. No prescription. Just poor customer service. When I was able to pick up the prescription around 5 PM, I overhead another customer voicing concern about her prescription not being ready, but no one communicating that information to her.In my experience with this pharmacy and based on the conversation I overhead, this type of service is far more the norm than the exception.

Hate hate hate Walgreens! They chased the WONDERFUL Rite-Aid out of town, and we are now stuck with terrible service and sub-par products. BRING BACK RITE-AID!!!

Their Pharmacy and vaccinations department are completely disorganized and poorly communicative. I had appts scheduled for the flu shot for all 6 of my family members. We waited 1hr to be seen and 5 of those appt times had passed by. I asked at the 45min mark how much longer and their response was that they were making the kids' accounts and didn't forget about us. Then we waited another 15min, again with absolutely no communication on their end and I couldn't wait any longer. I went back up to the counter, the employee had absolutely nothing to say so I told them to canceled all our appts and give me my cards back. No apology, nothing. Biggest waste of time and poor communication on their end. I will never return, ever.

The place was clean and all. I went in to get a flu shot and usually I go to the one in Winchester to get mine but since i was headed towards dc I decided to stop here to get it. I had registered online so I didn’t have to worry. But when I got here today the person giving me the shot was telling me to sit down when I was asking him where to put my sweatshirt. He kept saying “please sit down” in which he kept rudely interrupting me. After that he told me to stay in the pharmacy for 10-15 minutes although I had just gotten a flu shot. But at the one in Winchester they said I could just leave or stay around.

Friendly staff, but picking up prescriptions is an adventure. Sometimes they are ready, other times, despite having the prescriptions called in a few days earlier makes no difference, they only start to fill once you are there waiting. Appears to be insufficient staffing.

I stopped by the Walgreens in Purcellville to pick up a face wash, since I had packed an empty tube for my trip. I really couldn't find one that's small enough for my 5 day trip. I looked in the trial sized section and I looked among the skincare. In my search, a few of the employees greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This Walgreens seemed very busy. There were patrons coming and leaving the pharmacy area. There were shoppers with full shopping carts. I have never purchased more than two things at a time at Walgreens. All around it seemed like an all around well stocked Walgreens, that you could stop by and pick anything you may need quickly.

Never answers the phone. Take ages to fill prescriptions. Don't give a reason for delays

By far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I finally switched to another in town. We've been with different Walgreens for years. Never again. Such a shame because I love the app. The lines are always long. The pharmacy staff are so bored and apathetic. The drive thru takes a minimum of 20 minutes. The time I tried to get my vaccine I waited 45 minutes and finally left.
